Louisville Slugger Replica Bat and Ball Combo

This bat is great! It's a solid wiffle bat that even adults and teenagers can use. It's a very rock solid bat that can crank homers for days, if you have the right wiffle balls. The one it comes with is the typical one with the holes. I gave the ball to the dog and ordered some wiffle balls from sports authority. If you really want to put on a Home Run Derby look into the 6 pack of training wiffle balls I believe they were called. They are solid plastic molded after baseballs with the laces molded on. It's like 7 bucks for 6 balls. I've had numerous bats like this and they last for years. The only other bat that compares to this would be the Easton wiffle bat that is on amazon somewhere. Now that bat is a very good wiffle bat about the same size with a bigger barrel. The only flaw with that bat is that since the barrel is bigger, the more hallow it it, which doesn't hit it as far as the Louisville Slugger version. You can't go wrong with either, but I'd take the Slugger version. The only thing the Easton one trumps it with is the wiffle ball it comes with that I have never found in stores in like 10 years. They have the 4 diamond slots in them. Overall, I give the wiffle bat a solid 9/10. I'd give it a perfect 10, but the wiffle ball should be alot better. Buy this bat and Go Cubs!

Very well constructed plastic baseball bat, and an amazing visual replica of a black wooden baseball bat, down to being straight as an arrow and excellent faux wood grain. World class wiffle ball bat, if you're restricted to plastic. If not, use the SKLZ live wire wooden bat, also bargain priced on Amazon. Serviceable self defense tool, in a pinch, as well- seems virtually unbreakable. Also, as a side note, the ball I received with this bat was very good, an apparent upgrade/response by Louisville Slugger to prior reviews - a bonus!

I purchased a Ken Griffey Jr. model approx. 15 years ago. My son Justin at the time was 5. My youngest son is now 10, and he used the bat for many years until it disappeared some time over the past winter. When I saw this model at Amazon, I knew it was very similar. When we receive this current Louisville model, I was astonished, it is exactly the same as the one I purchased in 1998. I know it will last for years and maybe, when the time comes, my grandchildren can play with a high quality wiffle ball bat when they become of age. Thanks again for carrying just what I was looking for. I am a longtime Amazon customer and will continue to purchase from Amazon in the future.

I was concerned that an order I placed would not arrive on time and tried to contact the seller to arrange for expedited shipping. I was never able to reach the seller, but fortunately the item arrived in time. It seems to be of excellent quality (as other reviewers), and I am sure it will provide many hours of enjoyment for the entire family.

I ordered this set for my sons ages 4 and 8. They like how it looks like a real bat. I took off a star because although the bat is nice the ball broke after a couple days.

I was excited to try this product out honestly. When it came to the door we opened it, but it appears that someone ripped the ball off the package or it got ripped off during the shipping process. It looks like a lot of fun and I would have liked to give it a try and review, but may have to postpone due to lack of balls.

I like this bat as it is similar in size to a real baseball bat. While using a huge baseball bat to play with whiffle balls may give a toddler confidence, I thought it would be better if he learned with this as it would be easier to transition to a real baseball bat later on. It turns out, kids learn fast and my son can hit a ball with this (although not as easily as with very exaggerated large bats). I also like the fact that this bat is made in USA and has no funny smells upon arrival.

Bought this bat as an extra for wiffle ball. Believe this is the old 'Ken Griffey' model. Good quality, have used for several years now. As long as you don't use it to hammer nails, hit real baseballs, drive golfballs, etc, it will last you many years. Can probably be used for baseball themed swordfights. Minor bend in the bat that is inherent in the construction. Doesn't impact use.
