This chair allowed my husband the freedom to do things that we would not have otherwise been able to do on our vacation to Hawaii. It not only allowed him the freedom to go when and where he wanted, it allowed me to not be exhausted by pushing his traditional wheelchair around. The only drawback is the comfort after extended periods. We had to buy an additional cushion.

This item is for small people only. The backrest is defective. It crunches you forward. Extremely uncomfortable. Without notice on the website, the vendor charges $500 re-stock fee. Amazon should drop this vendor to protect customers. The return address and phone number is a fraud. This is a scam. Buyer beware.

The wheelchair is extremely maneuverable. My biggest complaint is that it is very heavy and not at all easy to lift as shown in the videos. It is awkward because of its size. It is a good power wheelchair if you are not going to need to lift it.

Love it so far

We have had our Air Hawk for well over a year. We wanted to really use it before reviewing. It does everything it was advertised. It has expanded my wife's ability to get around. We only use it outside the home for shopping or outdoors.Pros: batteries have long life between charges and two batteries are great. The thing really moves at top speed. it practically turns on a dime. I can break it down and put it in the car in a few minutes. My wife can go places and see things she has not been able to do in years.Cons: Foot rest is a bit of an issue for my wife on exiting and entering the chair. She has learned to put both feet stranding the foot rest which is not easy for her. Plastic battery covering rubs off at the end of the battery where the connector is located, When you slide the battery in its holding tube it is a tight fit. The chair is not made for rough surfaces or off sidewalks or concrete. Also must watch for large cracks in sidewalks or streets when crossing. I would recommend the HD Air Hawk for use on grass or dirt.

This chair will go long distance, has several speeds and light weight, as far chairs go.It fit right behind the driver seat in my small pickup. All at a nice price.

If you can find another seller for the item, you will be left with a chair that is losing what should be a fixed permanent piece.
