YONICO 14957q 5/8-Inch Diameter Core Box Router Bit 1/4-Inch Shank

Seems to be a decent quality bit. I’ve used it to make round bowl shaped cutouts in white oak drawer fronts. The bit did what I needed, yielding good results. A bit this large can get out of control pretty easily if you get too aggressive with it. A series of shallow cuts, slowing down the bit speed, and use of templates to constrain the router make a big difference in the outcome. I’ve purchased other Yonico bits and have found them a good value. Not the top quality of something like a Whiteside bit, but they seem to get the job done for many home shop projects.

I’ve purchased several Yonico router bits over the past few years, and all have worked fine for me. These bits seem well made and function well. I’m a hobbyist, so they don’t get heavy use.

Yonico may not be the highest quality brand, but for small one-time projects, they’re much more cost effective. It’s not the intended use or tool, but we actually used this in a drill press to add the pips (round dots) on some yard dice. Cost effective for a fun kid-friendly shop project and I wasn’t worried how long it would last. No chips, cracks, or dings in the blades.

Hard to beat at this price point. Definitely not the sharpest bit. It took several passes to make the full depth cut and I had to move the work piece pretty slow. Fortunately I don't have to make a lot of these cuts. I would probably look around for a sharper option if I did.

Excellent quality bit. Did not burn up event when rapidly doing 14 full 1" deep holes one after another. Very sharp edges make clean cuts. Actual hole size, depth, and radius matched the specs accurately.

Another great quality bit from Yonico. I have a lot of this brand and I have always been satisfied for my needs. The bit is made well with plenty of carbide. I am just a hobbyist woodworker and although I don’t make my living doing woodworking I do appreciate the value proposition from this brand and absolutely feel safe using them.

Nice bit for the price. Used this bit to make flutes in trim pieces in a bookcase. The bits cut nice leaving no burn marks. The bits were used in a scene shop to make trim pieces for set pieces.

It fulfils its function.
