Sigma 16801 Weatherproof 1-Gang WIU GFCI Receptacle Kit, Clear

This bundle was substantially cheaper than buying the parts separately. Was an easy install and has seen quite a few torrential downpours. Works perfect and looks great! My one complaint is that you have to manually wrap the wire rather than feed it into a port. Not a huge deal especially for the price but it's something to consider.

I needed an outlet outside on our deck and decided on this after checking numerous other options. I'm not an Electrical Engineer, but self-proclaimed to be smarter than a 5th grader. The install was very straightforward with reasonably good instructions. I like the ability to mount either vertically or horizontally. Everything worked just peachy-keen! NOTE: If you mount the entire unit on the outside of a wall (easiest install) it will stick out a good amount, but it is definitely designed for this option. The actual outlet (GFCI) works correctly! I would definitely buy another if/when I have need.

Installed and working well..complete kit

GFCI was DOA. Had to run to Lowes and buy GFCI because I had it completely installed this kit before discovering the GFCI was faulty. Which took a couple hours bc i assumed it was new so it couldn't be the problem and was chasing ghosts inside my basement wiring and fuse panel. The only problem was with the GFCI that came with this cheap kit.

Exactly as described perfect all in one package for the do it yourself upgrade

The Amazon picture infers that the cover is transparent. It is not. Disappointing! Be careful if you are not handy or do not understand GFI. Could be difficult as a DIY project.

Nice setup. The back box appears to be cast aluminum. I drilled a 3/4" hole with a step bit easily. Great price.

Solid! Even in winter plastic didn't become brittle! Amazing!! And fraction of the price!!

The quality is very good and finishing is smooth However two main points that I don't like, first problem is the cover depth is very shallow and that defeats the purpose because almost all security cameras and string lights or patio lights have a big plug head so the cap will remain open because the plug will be sticking out! Second issue is screws that came with box to fasten the box to a wall are short so I used construction screws instead. Over all it is OK

Very good solution. Option for square or regular AC receptacles. Solid product. Would buy again.
