super cheap and works great. works so great i bought one for my parents and kid! image is clear and microphone works great.

Picture quality is just so-so but it's plug and play, and very affordable. For Skyping, it works nicely. And I agree, the narrow mount is better for laptops (which have their own webcam) than for my LCD monitor.

Doesn't come with software. After you do manage to find the software it is difficult to operate and will not work with some versions of windows so beware.

I own a CQ-60 laptop, it does not have an internal webcam therefore I have always had to use an external webcam. I had own one webcam previous to this one. The little square Microsoft camera with the internal microphone, here's a link [...], It lasted two years. Which was impressive as I am a college student and tend to toss things in to my bag when running to class so it was not an easy two years.Then the camera failed, followed by the mic, all with in the same week. It was definitely time for a new camera. I received this camera all of...10 minuets or so ago. I already love it. The picture is so much clearer, even with only a desk lamp lighting the room. The mic has no problem picking up the sound, and from what my counterpart in Oklahoma tells me, its much clearer from the receiving end of things. Installation was quite literally plug it in and call someone. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a webcam.

This webcam was really inexpensive and works great. the picture quality is good and it sits on my laptop really nicely. The best part is there is no complicated set up, you just plug it in and it installs the driver software on its own. Works good with skype, I haven't used it for anything else. It also has a microphone. The one issue I've had is because my computer has a microphone too and so sometimes the sound gets fuzzy because both microphones are picking up on you but if you just mute the microphone for a bit while the other person talks or whatever then it calms down when you unmute it. I'm buying this for my mom so she and I can skype!

Not supported by Windows 8, the webcam device is not recognized. Useless for Windows 8. Might work well for XP and Windows 7 users.

I bought this to use for skyping on an ASUS eeepc 7" because I read that it would be recognized by skype on this machine with no drivers needed. That turned out to be wrong. To salvage the situation, I tried booting it up under Windows 7, which recognized it, loaded camera and audio drivers but would not recognize it as a webcam, so it could not be used for skyping on that machine. I subsequently booted it up on systems running Vista and XP and those systems auto loaded built in windows drivers and recognized the audio, camera and webcam functions.

Great compact web camera. Very simple to plug and play, that's it! The camera hangs nicely on the laptop and has a swivel head to adjust the view. The resolution very good as well for the cheap purchase price. What else can I say? Wonderful product and very happy with purchase.
