Very satisfied with the 5600 SXT 64K
This replaced the old style manual 5600 so was pretty easy to plumb in. Came pre-loaded with 10% resin. I upgraded the cheap, 1/2" plastic drain hose barb to brass 5/8" as I have a fairly long run to the discharge site. I used two 3/4" braided stainless water heater hoses for connection. Ensure the bends aren't too sharp or they'll start to flatten out and may partially restrict water flow. If that happens you will definitely notice it when running water inside your home. That said, I haven't noticed any pressure difference. Was in the shower last night and had my wife flush the toilet, I still didn't notice any fluctuation. It's fairly easy to program, but I highly recommend you read the manual a time or two first. You will need to know the hardness of your water before programming. Use quality test strips, or get a digital total dissolved solids meter like I have on my RO filters. I used both and went with the average. Alternatively, you can always send a water sample to a lab for testing. Once operational, it took a couple of days to feel the full effect of the softened water. Last I checked, it's producing water with 20 ppm TDS (according to the test strip). In the past I've used salt pellets. I've read that they can possibly cause issues with gumming things up. This time I went with crystal salt. Time will tell. The softener has been online for only one week and I still have 2000 gallons to go before the next regeneration which I have set at 12:00 midnight. This will be its first auto regen. At this rate, it appears it will need to regen once every three weeks or so. But then, it's just me and my wife using it. I can already feel a difference in my skin, it's not nearly as dry and itchy feeling. I really like this softener. I believe the price is very good compared to some of the others out there and would definitely buy it again. I highly recommend it. Hope this helps.

Great value. Works as advertised. ChatGPT recommended this unit and it delivers!
So far so good. The water tastes great. We are using potassium chloride with no issues so far. It has been about a month. I've never installed one of these and had zero issues installing it. You will need to order a drain line and the connection lines as well as some silicone for the seals, but if you follow the instructions you will be ok. I called for a couple questions and customer service got back to me right away. Saved thousands of dollars by doing a diy install. And even if you pay a plumber $500 bucks to hook it up, you will still save thousands.

Gave up on Culligan and went with this!
Item arrived quickly and well packaged with everything needed except the plumbing parts relevant to my install situation (expected). After a quick assessment and run to the hardware store to get the parts needed for the install, I began. The install was quick and painless. This instructions were very clear including the programming. Make sure you follow the instructions including the start-up portion to the letter or you'll be stuck with some nasty brown water (associated with new resin beads) in the plumbing lines like I did (I know I was hasty). Once I realized my mistake, I back-tracked a bit and reprogrammed and then followed the set up instructions. Went through its first recharge and off we went. I set it to run another recharge that night, and flushed all the lines in the house the next morning (including a flush of the water heater). All is good. Not a single leak from any of the fittings, silky smooth soft water throughout the home, and a quiet little water softener dutifully doing its job in my garage. No complaints whatsoever, and now I'm not a Culligan hostage anymore with spotty customer service and low-skilled technicians. I can fix it myself, right, the first time with parts readily available.

I cannot recommend
Bought in 2020, reviewed in 2026. Internal failure, softner beads in my water lines clogging up washing machine and who knows what else. I wouldn't recommend buying this.

This is a high quality Softener for a very reduced price.
This is a great product for the money, Do NOT get one of those salesmen water softeners, they want thousands of dollars for the same benefit. We have had our water softener for about 5 months and it is working great. Dishes are spotless, skin and hair feels much better. The biggest surprise is how much softer our hair feels, it's amazing. I did my own plumbing and created a french drain outside. Total spent for everything was around $1200. The 2 bids I received where for $7600 and $4200. Very happy we did it ourselves, everything was done correctly and the water softener is inside in the storage room right next to the water heater. The other guys wanted to put it outside in a small shed. I added my own bypass system using 3 shutoff values, so disconnecting this water softener is seamless. Having my own bypass allows us to bypass the water softening process while we using our outside Bibs to water plants and add water to our fish pond. The guy selling the $7600 system had no idea how I would use my 4 outside bibs to go back to hard water for this purpose of adding water to the fish pond or watering plants. He contacted his boss, Boss man did not even know. The $4200 system guy did know. The Flech 5600SX does come with a built in bypass in the head, but you have to keep the head on to use the bypass, to replace the system you would have to shut off your water to the entire house. The only downside is that I find I really do not like the taste of soft water - did not realize it would be so different, I guess I like my minerals for water taste? I attached a picture on my bypass and a picture of the water softener system

So far, so good
Really enjoying the new water softener. It shipped on time and was recieved in good condition. Installation was easy with the instructions provided by the seller. Had hookups from the old softener so all I needed was a couple in/out hoses and tubing. Water hoses and drain tubing are not provided, so you’ll need to buy them separately. So nice to have soft water again, big difference comparing the 20 year old unit this is replacing. Highly recommend.

Did a lot of research before choosing this system. Good choice and price. Company’s customer service is outstanding and “Heather” was amazing. Definitely recommend

It's been 4 months and this softener has been working great. Noticeably reduced calcium build up, water is clearly softer. It took maybe a day or two before the water softness changed, but it was steady after that. Key thing I want to point out is the excellent customer service. Very fast response time with direct solution. I'd definitely buy other products from this seller.

I don’t recommend it at all. Maybe if you are in USA it’s different you can find good customer services, but thy don’t have any agents in Canada, so frustrating. I Bought on JULY 2025, installation was fine, but it didn’t work at all, have to call local companies here in Canada to test the water and to check the installation and the system. They told me must be the resin defected! And the company didn’t offer to replace it!! I just wasted money and time, can’t even return or get refund.
