Not even sure where to begin, except to say I have never know a band more aptly named. Soundgarden may be the best & tightest quartet of rock/metal/grunge musicians to have ever existed. Chris Cornell's vocals are unparalleled and Kim's guitar playins is not only sonic but probably the most infectious blend of chaos & melody that any band has ever had. That they even captured this show is a blessing and this will go down as one of greatest live recordings ever--the set is tight & solid. It doesn't get any better than this. Chirs Cornell may have passed but his memory & his band will love on forever. Peace.

I recieved my pre order of this limited edition box set yesterday. Wow, I am very impressed! Just opening it up and checking everything out was a sensory experience, not to even mention the music and blu ray. The smell of fresh ink is always amazing! The 4 lithographs and box that houses the set are multi textured and very well done. The reproduction back stage pass and concert ticket are a super cool touch and the photos/ art on the album sleeves and in the 40 page book are absolutely stunning. You just can not get that feeling/experience from a download. It reminds me of being a teen and the excitement I would get when buying a new album, priceless.

I’m honored to review this much celebrated collection of absolutely killer live songs from the king animal tour in los Angels. There’s all the jams you know and love plus tons of songs I was not even aware of. It kicks off with this really trippy song called Incessant Mace, and it’s a thrill to the end. Well mixed for a live album and is a testament to Chris’s legacy with a truly original sound.

This is a great box set for Soundgarden fans. The most important things for me were the 4 lps, the cds and the blu ray of the concert performance. You get much more than that with this set. The concert sounds great and is a way for me to hold on to the memory of Soundgarden and Chris. They did a fantastic job on this box set.

Anything from Soundgarden is gold. Get this while you can!!!

Amazing packaging. Great show. Unfortunately, the CDs and Blu-ray we're not secured and slipped under the paper. They now have glue on the and are not playable.

If you're still mourning Chris Cornell, it's hard to know that the supply of new Soundgarden material is finite. It is very easy for some bands to recycle the same stuff over and over on record after record (yes, I'm talking about KISS) in order to satisfy fans. This Soundgarden package is a little different. It's a live show, but many of the songs on this album haven't been played live often - if at all - by the band. This deluxe package include vinyl, CDs, a Blu ray of the concert, and other goodies in a numbered box. A very nice package of material that feels more genuine than many live albums, and not just an attempt to squeeze more money out of a band that has lost its heart and soul.

I love Soundgarden (And Pearl Jam). Chris Cornell has been, and continue to be such a big part of my life, and losing him hurt so much, but even though I never saw Soundgarden live, I saw Chris in Oslo playing on his accoustic solo tour (oddly enough, same week as I saw Pearl Jam). This box set then is as near a perfect sollution for those of us who never saw the band live. And what a performance this is. They are musicians to the very tip of their fingers, everything seems like such effortless passion, they live, they breathe what they do, and you are swept away by this beautiful massive animal that is music, music and more music. Give yourself this treat if you love Soundgarden or if you want to give yourself the high point of rock and popular music.
