Camper Swiss Army Knife, 13 Functions, Blue Transparent

I admit that I tend to collect Swiss Army knives, both Victorinox and Wenger brands. I use them all, so I'm not the type of collector who keeps them pristine and unused in a box. It's just that I can't seem to resist purchasing them here or off Ebay. More and more, I'm discovering that I really love the Camper model. It's identical to the Spartan model (another favorite of mine!) with the addition of a saw. It's perfect and somewhat minimalist to a degree, especially compared with a Victorinox Swiss Champ, Handyman, Explorer, etc. Every tool on the Camper is useful, to me at least, and there are no extraneous tools. I don't need scissors, as I feel that either of the two knife blades can accomplish much of what scissors can do. I store the eyeglass screwdriver (purchased separately) in the corkscrew, which is why I prefer corkscrew models. Plus, corkscrews are awesome at untying knots! I also store a straight pin in the tiny hole near the corkscrew, which can aid the tweezers in removing a splinter. Most new Victorinox knives have this hole for a straight pin, and some even come with a straight pin but not the Camper. I have used the saw a few times, and wow, what a saw! It's quite sharp and effective! The can opener doubles as a Phillips screwdriver and is very good at opening cans. My Camper is flawless and both blades came to me razor sharp. Excellent Victorinox quality. This is an awesome EDC knife. I keep it in my pocket and pair it with a Victorinox Minichamp (this gives me scissors, nail file, pen, measuring device, and numerous other tools) on my keychain. If I'm going to be completely honest, most days I also pair it with a Victorinox Pioneer and a Kershaw Skyline. I love knives, especially Victorinox! :-)

My son asked for a Victronix for Christmas. I chose this one and he loves it. It carries it with him anytime he goes outdoors. He likes the versatility and the high quality. Great size for your pocket.

Possibly the best Swiss Army knife ever made! This knife has a ton of functionality from can a bottle opener (never leave home without it), screw drivers (work in a pinch, saved me untold trips to my workshop), cork screw (wine anyone?), awl for punching holes, a saw (I’ve even sawed small trees with it), toothpick and excellent pair of small tweezers, and oh yeah, it’s got two relatively decent blades to choose from. All this in a small package, and not bulky like other Victorinox models. Mine last for years or until I lose it, or I forget to take it out of my pocket before going through TSA. The plastic covers will wear and fall off after years of abuse, but at this price, just buy another one.

Swiss Army knife in a chic colour! This company never misses with their knives and its’ accessories. There is a reason they’ve been in business for so long! The quality never fails, it’s lightweight, easy to use, blades are sharp, and it performed as expected. Great value for the cost. It will go on many hiking trips around the world for years to come.

Outstanding Victorinox quality! Nearly perfect as far as features. I carry this with me where ever I go. Incredibly useful. The saw is top notch. The black colored scales are awesome. It's a nice color option instead of the original red. I only wish Victorinox would replace the cork screw with a ferrocerium rod. Then it would be the absolute perfect multi-tool to meet my needs. (It would better suit the name Camper too.)

I have a knife drawer. It's full. I like knives, ok? I have big ones, little ones, multi-bladed ones, single-bladed ones. I have old clunkers and shiny new ones, expensive and cheap. Seriously, I am the guy who can tell you what kind of knife the movie hero is holding in his hand. What knife do I carry, though? This one. It's my fifth one. My first one was stolen. I dropped my second one (30 feet or so onto a concrete floor. It landed blade first. The blade bent, but the rest of the knife survived without a problem, My Remington would have exploded. Of course I tried to bend the blade back, and of course it snapped. I would have been suspicious if it hadn't). My third one is at the bottom of a lake--if I had dropped an overpriced collector's limited edition Laguiole or Remington Bullet into the lake, I would have bawled like a baby. Since it was my Swiss Army knife, I cried like a grown man. My fourth one, well, I gave it to my dad because I got sick of him eyeing it enviously every time I got it out of my pocket. So I had to buy another one. And if anything happens to this one, I can get another one for 25 bucks. I have done more stuff with a Swiss Army Knife: I have used every blade and tool for what they are intended for, and then some. For example, I once made a buckskin shirt using the the blade to cut thongs and then using the awl to poke holes, then using the tweezers to reach through the holes and grab the thong, then pull it back through the hole. Took a long time, but I memorized the dialogue of "Jeremiah Johnson" at the same time. Incidentally, the awl makes a great pilot hole in sheet rock or wood if you're going to put a screw in the wall. I once fixed a flat on my bike with a Swiss Army Knife and a pair of pliers. The valve stem of my tire had bent and was losing air. I took the valve stem out by sticking my tweezers down in the hole, then twisting with the pliers. I was able to put a new one in the same way. If you have actually stuck around for my conclusion, it's because you need to buy this knife. Unless you want scissors, too, which really come in handy if you have a mustache or nose hairs, or you want to cut fringe on your buckskin shirt. In that case, you need the Huntsman model.

My last one vanished somewhere so I got this to replace it. I don't need 38 different blades so this works fine for me. Mainly for cutting and opening boxes. It's blue but I was able to adjust....heh.

This knife has seen me through adolescence, the Boy Scouts, the Marine Corps as an Infantryman including two combat deployments and numerous schools, all the weather you can imagine in every climb and place across continents and dozens of pacific islands. After the military it has continued to support my life as an outdoorsman. Hunting, backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, woodworking and everyday uses the time I don't have it is when I am on a commercial flight or in a court room. I still have it, almost thirty years and it still works like the day I got it (except I lost the tweezers somewhere in Afghanistan so if I can get a replacement somewhere that would be great). The other day I bought this knife again (same as my original except my first says "^ Camping" on it) because someone borrowed my original a few weeks ago and thought they lost it. Thankfully they just misplaced it and returned it to me today. In comparing the two my original is just as functional as the new one. I will keep the new one and begin carrying it and keep the original in a safe place because the memories it holds for me are irreplaceable. If you take care of this knife it will take care of you and last a very very long time.

This is a very versatile knife. Victorinox is my only choice in a pocket knife. I have carried this particular model knife for the last 16 years. I did have a Huntsman, but when this was stolen I inadvertantly replaced it with this one, and that is when it became a knife I carried everyday. It is thinner than the Huntsman but you only sacrifice the scissors and a hook thing but you keep the saw. I came by this model by mistake but I have found it a much better option than some of the knives with more stuff. Also, I highly recomend the saw tool. It is awsome that something so small can cut so well. If you have never used this saw before you should try it. If you do much of anything outside, this is a great addition to the standard pocket knife fare of blades and openers.

Very functional, obviously. I mean, it's a swiss army knife so... its going to be top notch.

Very nice unit

Great little pocket tool. Has everything you need. Edges came nice and sharp straight out of the box. Also was lightly oiled to protect and ensure smooth opening and closing. Would highly recommend.
