5 minute installation
There are several “OEM replacement” sensors offered at a lower cost. This is a true OEM part from Trane. If you are remotely mechanically inclined, have a properly sized nut driver, and have the manual for your furnace (if this is your first time replacing the flame sensor you may need to refer to it for location of the sensor), this installs in 5 minutes or less. Fixes “double start” issue or “short ignition” issue. You can sometimes get by with cleaning carbon build up off the existing sensor, but for under $15 it is better to replace with OEM new.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for my older Trane XR80. Plug and play fixed my failure to ignite issue. Shipped quickly and is a reasonable price considering HVAC guys want $100 just to walk in the door. Not saying they aren't worth it I get knowledge comes at a price but if you can do some small things like this it can save you some money.

Installed and Working .. Trane XR95 Furnace
Would be 5 starts but can be better packaged to prevent damage. Looks to be exact OEM replacement and operating for 3 months with no issues. Bought a spare for future as parts obsolescence, and delivery when needed can be hassle for small money a good part to have handy. I replaced proactively as the original was 10+ years old... I cleaned it and also kept as a spare! .. this is a fairly easy DIY if comfortable with basic tools and electrical components and following safety rules. Even if you call a technician having a spare especially for older units can save a second trip and more $$ !!

Fixed flame sensor error code.
Seems to work well on out Trane XV95 furnace. Fixed flame sensor error, pretty easy to replace. Turn gas and power off when replacing. (Cleaned the old one and kept as a spare. I had already received this item but generally cleaning the sensor has helped in the past).

Got the job done!!
Ordered as a replacement part and with quick delivery we were able to get our heat fixed faster. It was cheaper than normal service repair and has continued to remain functional for a few months now.

Heating gas burner flame detector good value
Exact replacement. After years of 'fixing'this sensor ,this new replacement has worked well through this winter (2016-2017).The old one was loose around the insulator ,and kept rotating out of place,so would not 'see' the flame.I then had to rotate it back into place.Just inconvenient.

trane sen01114 flame sensor
We moved in in the summer 2017 and the furnace stopped working on Christmas Day, due to defective flame sensor. It took me few hours before i figured it out, removed it, cleaned it with fiberglass brush and got it furnace working, but it was 3am. The symptom was the burner would ignite for few seconds and shut off, ignite-shut off it would cycle on and off like that. Apparently sensor wasn't detecting the flame and would cut off the gas supply. Cleaning fixed it and I had ordered the replacement which has been working 2 years so far no problems. Got an extra spare cost me $7USD, I believe plus shipping. I ordered it thru .com not .ca because it was cheaper. Took a while to get it but at this point the old one was working fine after cleaning. Maybe I should order the igniter just in case.

Works great but don’t buy if you’re not familiar with gas combustion controls.
Flame rods get encrusted with stuff from the combustion process and must be cleaned every year. This part must be cleaned carefully and abrasives like sandpaper must not be used. However, I typically replace it, it’s a low cost consumable and keeps the flame proving system in tip top shape. Flame signal should be checked and burners cleaned so if you’re not a gas technician simply replacing this part might not solve a problem or prevent future issues.
