Can you pair two of these in stereo mode?
Can you keep this plugged in and "online" for use with Echo?
Will they make different colour versions of these?
Is this true stereo or just the same sound from both left and right channels, ie mono? Many thanks.

High quality product with good stereo sound.

Nicely packaged, reassuringly weighty product with rubber base for stability, well made, worked right away. Comes with aux input for those wanting to connect to an older Tv or PC.Really quite good sound quality which is much better than my JBL Go 4 which had no bass at all, very similar to my old JBL Flip but the Soundcore is stereo which is very rare. Sounds similar but maybe not quite as musical as my (mono and wired) Apple HomePod mini.Has a decent app with EQ.Good price well worth the money.

The King and Queen of Sound since 2019 and under 100$

Attached custom Equalizer settings for latest firmware 36.38 that are more or less coincide with recommendations from famous youtubers (Oluv's gadgets, Alan Ross and others), providing deep clean bass, treble and overall pleasant sound.Obviously you should use presets when listening to the music and search for your own custom Eq setup.Pros:1) Sturdy quality build, feels good in the hand, has some weight to it2) Great appealing design with 3 color options - red, blue, black (black is the cheapest)3) Presence of tweeters which are regularly lacking on many other speakers and provide sizzling treble and clean highs4) Deep clean low frequencies without distortion which is met on every speaker above 80% volume - frequency range of 50 Hz to 40 kHz5) Loud inside and outside6) Wipes the floor with competitors under 200$7) Has speakerphone8) Has AUX input, cable included9) Large battery lasting 3-4 hours playing on maximum loudness 80-100%, up to 8-10 on 50% loudness10) Price around 70 pounds (under 100$)11) Can be paired with another one12) Has mobile application for firmware updates13) Has equalizer inside the applications - presets are good, custom EQ makes the speaker shine14) IPX7 waterproof and can be taken outdoors to pools, fountains, lakes, rivers, sea/ocean shore (do not submerge)15) Bass Up button and functionality, boosts immersive sound indoors and outdoors16) Still the king of market since first appearance in 2019, live and kicking17) aptX codec which makes it Android friendly18) 30 Watts of power, other speakers usually feature less than 20 Watts19) USB Type-C support, cable includedCons:1) Red and blue speaker version cost higher which is strange2) Has its own competitor inside the brand - Anker Motion Boom - priced similarly3) Does not sound that awesome out of the box, custom equalizer settings make it divineCompetitors:A) If budget is not an issue and you want to invest in products that are no longer developing1) Vifa Helsinki - 300-400$ (company is sold, stock is still available)2) Danon Envaya 250 - 180-250$ (left portable bluetooth speaker market)B) Its own brand - Anker Motion Boom (check the reviews - boombox that shines with sound quality, battery life and other features) priced similarly under 100$C) Too popular but lacking WOW effect3) Marshall Stockwell 2, Killburn 2, Emberton are only good at rock losing their shine in other genres, twice the price, noticeably virtual/syntetic/unnatural sound can be slightly adjusted by bass/treble settings4) JBL Charge 5 - boomy despite the tweeter, mono sound, no aux, no speakerphone, twice the price, no equalizer5) Sonos Roam - twice expensive, doubtful sound signatureSummary: bought mine to substitute outdated JBL Charge 3. And it does that successfully.Note: check Anker Motion Boom before buying.

Almost a 'golden oldie' now but still nothing can match it for the price.

I did a LOT of research on bluetooth speakers before buying the Motion+. I consumed dozens of YouTube videos plus written reviews, made a spreadsheet, and whittled down. And to be honest the Motion+ wasn't even on my radar to begin with - I started by looking at only current/new speakers thinking (wrongly) that newer always equals better. It doesn't. I compared models from JBL, Marshall (not really Marshall - google it), Tribit, Bose, a few others. I compared all the models around the same size/weight, as in 'yes it's portable but you wouldn't want to carry it around with you.'Now, of course it depends what you want. For outdoors/parties you probably want something that goes loud and has good bass, so a Motion Boom Plus is a great choice, but it's big and heavy, and OTT for indoors (unless you hate your neighbours). For hiking there are loads of good small lightweight speakers with high dust protection as well as high water protection. But when it comes to a jack of all trades: hi-fi (ish - within reason!) quality & clarity, reasonably portable, reasonably decent bass, good features, the field is smaller. The Bose Soundlink Flex is very good but it's a mono speaker - most portable speakers are though. I don't like any of the 'tube' type monos, the JBLs and the like, I think they do a great job for outdoors parties though. The Motion+ is stereo and, to me at least, it sounds so very much better for it. The quality and clarity are around the same as the Bose, maybe not quite as good but only noticable in A-B testing, and even then, hardly. But being stereo (2 woofers, 2 tweeters and a passive bass at the rear) is great for indoor listening if clarity is more important than blowing the doors off. But you can take this outside, it's "waterproof" (to IPX7 - look up IP ratings for details, there are various levels of "waterproof"), or into the bathroom or kitchen. And Soundcore's phone app is good with a real 9-band graphic equalisier, and the speaker remembers which setting it's on so you don't need to fire up the app when you want to use the speaker, only if you want to change to a different sound profile or tweak your custom settings. It also has an aux-in port if you want to connect non-bluetooth devices, painless pairing of 2 units (2 of these paired sound really very good) and, well, you can look up the features.Downsides: No dust protection, and that doesn't bother me, but may limit where it can be used outdoors i.e. probably not at the beach. But if you want a mostly outdoor speaker then look elsewhere, maybe a Motion Boom Plus or a JBL, or the Bose if you don't need full fat bass. Finally, how does the old Motion+ stack up to the new Soundcore X600? The X600 is basically a reconfigured Motion+ in a new frock with an extra speaker firing upwards, and uses DSP to give "spatial audio". It's a good sounding speaker (naturally with Motion+ DNA in it) but it's more than twice the price of a Motion+. It's better outdoors than the Motion+ when using the "spatial audio", but again, when it comes to outdoors then you have to consider JBL, Bose and the Motion Boom Plus, and Tribit, and others actually, because clarity is a lot less important. In the house I'd rather have 2 x Motion+ than 1 x X600, and have some spare change. That gives me the freedom to have a speaker downstairs and upstairs, and pair them in TWS when required.

Quality

I have found this speaker very easy to use. The sound quality is great for most material. To prolong battery life I raised the bass and the treble with the equaliser in the app, this increases the volume whilst remaining at 50 percent volume overall. Guitar driven rock sounds great like this. There is zero noise or distortion and the call capability works clearly without having to speak loudly.Latency hasn't been an issue for the vast majority of film and video I have watched. There is an aux input anyway. The battery lasts me about a day listening at 50 percent volume and playing full volume for occasional tracks. Bluetooth connection has been very good.I have had some issues when two devices are connected at the same time. My laptop slows down or occasionally freezes. I simply disconnect my phone when using my laptop. My phone is damaged and is possibly causing this. I don't consider it a concern because there is so much value in this product. This is not a party speaker but it is perfect for moving around the house, office or workshop. The build quality is good, it feels and sounds like a quality item, I am very happy.
