desertcart.com Seether returns with another workaday outing that rocks like late 2001. Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces is virtually interchangeable with any previous Seether disc, as well as pretty much anything by the likes of Nickelback, Shinedown, and other "post-grunge" rock bands. True, "Fake It" has zeal, and "Rise Above This" may very well provide the soundtrack to late-night, soul-searching sessions for teenagers from Cape Cod to Cape Town. Shaun Morgans often unnecessarily profane lyrics are another problem. Witness the gauche "FMLYHM," which borrows from lyrical ideas that sounded novel when Trent Reznor sang them in "Closer" more than a decade ago but now just sound juvenile and unnecessarily angry. Same goes for the numbing epic "No Jesus Christ" and the closer, "Waste." Throughout, the band shows a lack of imagination that may ultimately prove fatal. In all, this is cookie-cutter rock that really doesnt. --Jedd Beaudoin Review: FMLYHM - This is a good rock cd. nothing more, nothing less. some people will think it's coporate rock and that's their right. 1. One of the best rock albums, ever.
Before purchasing this album I had heard a couple of the tracks. The thing is the flow of the album from start to finish is not justified by simply hearing a song or two out of context. This is album is very reminiscent of Nirvana and Alice In Chains, of course two of Sean Morgan's big influences. Seether's sound is definitely well defined in this album, and unfortunately (thanks to the information age) this album may go unnoticed, people just don't buy records anymore. That aside this is an incredible album, I hope Seether runs in the direction of this album for the rest of their career.

Seether's Masterpiece
This is easily my favorite Seether album. Every song is absolutely amazing. This album shows the band being able to scale down the heaviness of earlier albums in favor of better songwriting. They pull it off masterfully. This album showcases all that the band is capable of. From screaming to fairly mild balladry, they pull it all off. They even have enough skill to make Careless Whisper sound awesome. This is the place to start listening to Seether.

I Found Beauty...
This album is great even if you are not a huge Seether fan. This was really the first Seether album I listened all the way through and it catches you from the moment track one starts. This album has something for everyone. It has the "mainstream" songs that are played on the radio and the heavier darker tunes that appeal to most when listening to this music genre. This is a great complete album for anyone looking to get into Seether.

An excellent album from Seether with possibly their best known and most popular track, "Fake it". On first play the album made itself feel like an old favourite, an album you always enjoy cranked up to 11 and join in with. Definitely recommended! 👍👍

A very good sounding record. The depth is excellent a full amount on most of the record. The upper end detail is a little on the weak side, I thought it sounded better with the treble turned up a notch. The tone is just a bit on the dark side. The vinyl sounds better than the CD I own which has a bit less depth. The vinyl quality itself is also very good with not much surface noise.
