Good Boom for the Buck !
Having known a few people over the years who run Transducers in their Home Theater setups I'm no stranger to the technology and the desired results. That said this is a very strong performing product that delivers a massive amount of bang for your buck ! This is all very dependent on how and what it is attached to. It needs to be a sturdy chair with lots of hard points or it will shake and you wont. Mine is attached with the factory clamp to a piece of corrugated steel pipe that is threaded into a flange bolted onto a thin 2 foot X 2 foot piece of Plywood that is directly bolted into the wooden frame of a 10 inch thick Full Sized [ Full is the actual size ] Cotton Futon and it shakes the entire thing very well. For a 90Watt Transducer it performs better than I would have thought as most I have experienced are much larger 500Watt units in large couches with massive amounts of Wattage, obviously its not going to be as effective in that application but its more than a enough in a single chair with good solid mounting. I have owned mine since 2010 and use it pretty regularly for Movies more than anything else unplugging it when its not in use. Build quality on the AMP, Connectors, Remote and Transducer itself is high with a very Robust feeling to all of it including the built in Mount. The AMP doesn't use a Fan so there is no noise to worry about. Heat hasn't been any sort of issue with mine though I use mine out in the open with nothing on or around it so airflow isn't a problem. Its been a solid performer since day One. Its a great performer that wont break the bank but its somewhat limited as it doesn't have a digital pass through so there is no separation between the Left audio channel and low effects etc which can muddy things up when connected directly to an analog source, it would perform better with a Sub Out as its source. You can tweak it a bit with built in Hi / Low Filters on the AMP but it will always be trying to act like a Mono Speaker to some degree and wont single out just the Low end vibration we are after. So if you want to use this directly with your PS3 or 360 you will have to use a Scart connector which at least on the PS3 is a Stereo only affair, I think the 360 can output both Digital and Stereo at once but I cant remember ?. I use mine via Scart from the PS3 then into a Turtle Beach DSS 7.1 [ it also picks up the Audio going into the DSS from my Satellite TV Receiver ] out to a set of Klipsch Promedia 2.1's or Dre Beats Headphones so I have to choose between running digitally to the DSS or Stereo with the Buttkicker, while the DSS does a good job with any Stereo source there is a very notable difference between the two. In the end its a Great Solid Product that offers a very Reasonably priced glimpse into Transducers and what they are capable of. If you have any interest in this technology at all then you cant go wrong picking one these up. This is worth every Dollar of the $100.00 I paid for mine :D If your feeling a bit spendy $300.00 should get you into a much larger AMP and Transducer with a Digital Pass Through. Either way if you like feeling your Movies & Games both are worth looking into and offer a great experience for the Money.

Definitely gives your sim rig an enhanced tactile experience
I bought the ButtKicker Gamer 2 around a month ago for my racing sim rig, looking for that added feel of immersion. I heard nothing but good things about this product, so I was looking forward to how it was when I ordered my own unit. The ButtKicker Gamer 2 came in a fairly large and heavy box (around 13 lbs in shipping weight). Free and super fast shipping by Amazon. Got it in no time. Item was well-packaged. Product build quality is top-notch. The product is built to last a long time. Hooking it up was a breeze. It came with all the necessary accessories to hook it up to whatever system you plan on using it. I hooked it up to my ASUS Xonar DGX sound card and it works well with no problems. Definitely felt a lot of rumble whichever media I threw at it. It works well with music (all kinds), movies (Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan), and games (Battlefield 3, Project C.A.R.S., F1 2011) -you really have that more immersive experience. Definitely enhanced how my sim rig felt. It complemented my other sim racing hardware as well. It made you feel the engine revs and the kerbs. Never did I feel that the rumble was inadequate. In fact, I only have it turned on half-way, barely having the cut-off light turned on at times. Outside of spending a ton of money on a dedicated motion rig, this is as good as they come if you want the next step in making your sim rig much more immersive. It simply brings your sim rig to life. You'd never want to use your sim rig without it. Also, the Guitammer Company has excellent customer support, comprehensively answering all my queries in a very timely manner. All-in-all, it's definitely worth the investment. No wonder it's always sold-out often! I highly recommend it. Really quality product. Note: Make sure to not turn the unit's intensity all the way up, so the unit doesn't overheat.

Immersion in my flight sims.......
..........has never been better. But to be honest I already knew all this. I owned the original Butt kicker and used it regularly until the amp unit stop working. I missed the BK so much that I ordered the new version. The new model has a vastly improved amp but works pretty much the same. I have a home built flight simulator and this device gives me tactile feedback that has to be experienced. Here are some of the sims I play: DCS-KA50 Black Shark - I feel the cannon, the rumble of the rotors spinning, the clunk of having to jettison weapons in an emergency and of course enemy AAA and surface to air missiles hitting me! DCS-A10C Warthog - Tires rolling over cracks in the tarmac, the GAU-8/A Avenger cannon (OH YEAH). The low whine of twin engines, flak, missiles, touching down and even crashing into the ground! Rise Of Flight/Il2 1946 - Engines, machine guns, flak (in these games sometimes you feel the flak before seeing it). The cool thing about the butt kicker is that it works off sound output from your PC/console rather than software which means it works with any game. The kicker (no pun intended) is that it can take a while to get the settings just right, and you'll have to set it up differently for different games, but once you dial in your set-up there is no going back. Since I had the original BK I tossed out my bad amp but kept the shaker and mounted it to the couch, now when I watch movies it makes the experience simply amazing! Hope this review helps you decide your purchase. My sound set up (all my movie watching and gaming is through PC BTW): -Logitech Z5500 5.1 Surround Sound System -Creative X-Fi Fatality Sound Card in 5.1 set-up

If your thinking of getting this for anything other than the PC, bad news. Its pretty much useless without Simhub ( which is PC only) With simhub this becomes an essential peice of any racing sim, you can control every single effect and which Hz it sends to the BK. Top tip DO NOT use the 3.5mm y splitter cable, you will get static on your audio. Instead use another audio input for your Buttkicker, e.g your monitors 3.5mm input, if you dont have this, simply plug in an xbox controller via USB and use the 3.5mm input to split your audio. That worked for me until I found a better soloution. All in all this is worth every penny of £190, its not on sale for 170 so even better. Enjoy!

UU.
