Worth Every Penny!
So, on my 20-year-old 05 Toyota Solara, on the old DICE iPod player I had installed maybe 15 years ago, this gadget connected instantly and seamlessly in May 2025, on the first try, without a hitch. Am now able to stream music from iPhone thru my car system, crystal clear. The DICE player was installed to transmit through satellite, rather than FM, station, so no static or distortions now, as you have thru FM transmitter. In fact, this appears amplified thru the BOVEE...Sound quality on my original factory system is pretty incredible, like you're listening in 4K, if that makes any sense. Don't think my car ever sounded this good, thru FM radio, FM transmitter, or CD or cassette player...my only regret is that I never found this way sooner! Thanks :-) UPDATE: worked terrifically for a few weeks and then died...no blue lights, no longer able to connect at all. Should have waited a trial period before writing the above review. :-(

Great fit for 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro-4x
My Nissan Xterra Pro-4x comes with a stock iPod option using the built in dash and Rockford Fosgate sound system. With this unit, I didn’t need any additional plugs or quirks, it was truly plug and play. It takes a second to pop up on your phone, but at least with my car it’s worked with both Android and iOS as of the day of reviewing. Sound quality was phenomenal. It’s a lot better than using the aux port or using a radio transmitter. If sound quality is what you’re looking for, this unit has worked great. For audio controls, I’m able to change tracks on the dash and volume. You still have volume rocker control on your phone and the dash, just like a regular Bluetooth audio connection. Overall this thing has been great. It’s a tad pricey for what it does, but it’s worked great so far. If you need one for the car, do not buy the cheaper ones that are meant for Bluetooth speaker systems like Bose. Trust me, they don’t work on cars (not sure why)

Absolute Junk
Rubbish - Just does not work - Bought this for my 2009 Mercedes with an OEM iPohone/iPod connector built in. The Bovie1000 just won't connect to my iPhone 15S reliably. Returned the first on and have identical problems with the replacement one - package seal was already opened on the replacement so it was likely somebody else's return with the same problems It took 15+ attempts to get see the Bovie1000 in the iPhone Bluetooth settings, when you click on it to pair, it just fails after a minute or so with an error message saying pairing was unsuccessful and to check the Bovie1000 is turned on or in range. The first Bovie1000 eventually did pair but would not stay connected, the car display still showed "No iPod", it also got too hot to hold in the hands - really bad design and a fire risk for something you keep in your glove compartment with no airflow. The second (replacement) Bovie1000 would not pair at all so am returning for a refund - this has been a total waste of time, this product is a piece of junk and does not work with a Mercedes 2009 OEM iPod/iPhone interface as it is claimed to. Don't waste you time, nice idea, awful design and execution and in my professional Electrical Engineering opinion is unsafe/unstable thermally. It's really hard to screw up Bluetooth product design these days with so many very low cost high performance modules available for integration into product designs but somehow these guys made an $80 product that just doesn't work.

Works nicely with my 2008 GL450
I have a 2008 Mercedes GL450 that came with the integrated iPod kit with the 30 pin adapter. After a lot of research I settled on this product to allow me to stream music through Bluetooth. The installation took under a minute, and my iPhone 6s paired with the device my 3rd attempt. Sound quality is just fine (I'm no audiophile) - and the device has worked when playing Spotify or Pandora. One quirk is that when you start the car - and if Radio is still in the AUX setting - the device starts to play random music from my iTunes library OR it will continue playing whatever the last song played in the car. I haven't figured out a fix for this yet, but it is a minor annoyance to me and does not take away from the fact that this $80 device has converted the 30 pin connection to a useful Bluetooth connection. While the names / artists do NOT appear on the radio itself, the names of the songs DO appear in the display in the dashboard, which is nice and was unexpected. The steering wheel controls do work and allow me to move up or down a song. Basic, but again, I did not buy this to have a full integration with the radio system. Very pleased.

Bovee Quick Review
This Bovee adapter paired effortlessly via Bluetooth to my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in a 2008 Mercedes GL550 (it should work with any vehicle using the older 30-pin iPod/iPhone connector) without asking for a PIN/Password. Initially, there was no audio when using the car's AUX/iPod mode. After troubleshooting for 45 minutes, I discovered the fix: after connecting, you must turn off the ignition, remove the key, wait 2 minutes, and restart the car. Once restarted, the audio streamed perfectly. Just be sure your phone's audio output is set to "Headphones" rather than "Speaker." Pros & Cons: Sound Quality: Excellent—crisp and static-free (5/5). Controls: Steering wheel volume controls work as expected, though skipping tracks is not supported. Compatibility: Worked great with my Android (S25 Ultra), but it wouldn't discover or connect to my wife's iPhone 17 Pro Max for some reason. Overall Rating: 4/5 The audio performance is a solid 5, but the included instructions are useless (2/5). Better setup instructions would easily bump this to a 5-star review, as my primary goal was connecting my S25 Ultra. I'm keeping it at 4 stars for now.

Tune2air Audi Bluetooth a HIT!!
Wow! Due to many poor reviews of this Bluetooth transmitter/received on blogs, I was not holding my breathe on this little device working properly.....BUT......I WAS SO pleasantly surprised!! This little gem works 100% as it should in my 2009 Audi Q7 MMI. I'm not really sure why people a few years back had so many issues, I'm guessing that it took several firmware upgrades on the part of Tune2air as well as maybe changes in the AMI within the Audi, but it works PERFECTLY! The sound is clear, there is NO delay or pauses for the most part Any slight delay or skipping was just poor reception, but it literally lasted less than a second and happened only two or three times out of 8 hours active use in my Audi while on a road trip. I have only tested this product for 24 hours, so we will see if anything comes later, but I'm expecting not. Here's a comprehensive summary as to what I experienced: -Pairing was INCREDIBLY easy! Plug in, find on device, pair, put in password....DONE! -No skipping or delay whatsoever with exception of normal hesitation that happens with any Bluetooth device -Music is SUPER CLEAR, rich and sounds like it does when transmitted through hard wire -FULL functionality of your ipod/iphone features such as listing on your playlists, all your iTunes player buttons, it's all transmitted seamlessly through to the MMI on board the Audi -Works perfectly and receives no interference from the on board Audi Bluetooth for your phone functionality! -When a phone call comes in, music mutes and the Audi bluetooth kicks in and when the phone call is done, music restarts! -When re-entering the vehicle after vehicle being off for a period of time, music starts back up where you left off! WAY TO GO Tune2air folks! I suspect it was years in the making, but I'm very happy I get to reap the rewards, because for any Audi owner who owns an older Audi (2007-2011), we ALL know how painful it's been to find a TRUE Bluetooth device capable of communicating properly with the Audi MMI module on board.

Exactly as advertised
I own a 2012 Mini Countryman S. Although I love the car, I have been frustrated with the inability to access my music library while driving. I am pleased with this solution even if it doesn’t offer full iPhone integration offered on newer models. Pros: Easy setup. Very good sound quality Cons: Music selections are not “hands free” save a few commands accessible from Apple Watch (skip forward and back on album or playlist). I highly recommend choosing a playlist over playing DJ while driving. I find I have to either “forget” or physically disconnect the device when I return home as the Bovee doesn’t automatically power off or drop its connection to the phone when the car is turned off. If the car is within Bluetooth range it high jacks the connection when receiving phone calls. An irritating bit solvable issue.

Skipping but Usable in 2012 Audi Q5
Originally, I had written this glowing, full five star, review - it was premature. My wife and I have a 2012 Audi Q5 with the B&O system. We currently have iPhone 6 and 6+ phones. Shortly after installation (after leaving the driveway) we began seeing the sporadic skipping issues that others report. I went to Viseeo's website and downloaded the latest firmware (which my wife says seems to have helped things a little but not completely resolved them). After the update didn't completely fix the problem, I reached out to the manufacturer and asked them. Their response is as follows: "Are you connecting phone with both in-car handsfree and tune2air ? Pls try to connect tune2air only but disconnect the in-car handsfree and see if the issue will be gone." And, after I responded: "We are afraid there is no other way as we know some cars may not accept two Bluetooth devices work together, you have to use the in-car handsfree and tune2air separately in this case." While we a appreciate a 'resolution' to the issue, I don't feel that this is a truly acceptable solution. For that reason, I have given this unit 3 out of 5 stars. For those not familiar with the issue, it doesn't make the bluetooth adapter unusable. When streaming over the Tune2Air bluetooth adapter, the audio will randomly and sporadically skip and drop out, so you hear random pauses and breaks. It only happens if you're connected to the car's built in bluetooth for phone and if you're moving. From the research I've done and what I've seen, the skips happen when the phone is picking up a new cellular tower, which is why it works better when stationary. It can be very annoying but the satellite radio in my other car does a similar thing so I'm sort of used to it. On a recent trip in the North Georgia Mountains, I observed skips once every seven seconds in the towns and once about every 30 to 40 seconds when driving on the Appalachian Scenic Highway. All of the other functions work as described, and it really was as easy as they say to install - just plug it in, pair it and that's all. The audio quality is excellent and sounds fantastic when it's not skipping. I'm hopeful Viseeo (or maybe Audi, or maybe Apple) will find a way to correct the issue but, for now, the device works well enough. I would cautiously recommend this to friends and would be sure to inform them of the shortcomings.

Simple solution that works well
This is actually the second Bovee I now have. It worked so well in my Mazda SP23 that I bought this second one for my wife’s Merc ML500. Easy to connect, easy to pair with iOS or Android devices. Plays all apps (music, maps podcasts etc) through vehicle speakers. Mutes when a phone call is received. Brilliant!

Perfect product
Perfect for what I needed, works well, very happy with purchase, saved a lot of money instead of replacing my whole head unit

Works Great
Works great with the MMCS unit in my 2008 Mitsubishi Pajero. Would've been excellent if it could display the names of the songs too.. still a big improvement from using my old ipod to be able to stream my spotify playlist and still be able to use my steering wheel controls.
