It’s definitely my dogs favorite toy, but it doesn’t last very long because he immediately rips it to shreds. I love taking him to big fields where he can chase this for literally as far as I can get it to go! The moment he sits down with it though, it’s destroyed :(

We're changing our review - We went through two of these. We have a medium sized dog who usually doesn't tear through toys very quickly. I really think the manufacturing is defective in making this one. The rope tail with the knot is going to be tempting for any dog to play tug-o-war. First time we tired playing with it the stitching around the tail tore.The pig might also be overstuffed because once he chewed on it, the fabric around the belly tore. We tried the duck -- lasted us for months! This one is cute but just didn't last longer than 30 minutes -- both times!

Fetch just got so much fun for you and your dog. Slingshot toy for adults and your dogs. Simulates flying bird, great for retrieve and recall. Durable and engaging for our little pup.

When these toys are made with such small seams and with such coarse fabric they just don't last. I spend a lot of time in between each play. Using nylon thread to sew parts of the toy back together. Our dog loves it but we don't love the work it takes to keep it in play. It's just not worth any amount of money.

This is one of the few toys our ninety pound 18 month old German Shepherd will play with, and he loves it!. We first purchased the Hyper Pets flying DUCK, (green canvas, NOT fur), and his teeth quickly went through this fabric, but the stuffed flying Canada GOOSE is more sturdy. We also have to put this toy up when we are through playing with it since he would tear it apart if he had free access to it, however, he demolishes any toy he likes that he has free access to. We're on his third one (in 9 months) but now we make sure we put it up when we're finished playing. I plan to purchase more since it is one of the VERY FEW toys he has liked. We have so much fun flying, chasing, and catching it!!! (plus a little tug of war). The packages states this is NOT a chew toy, and if it isn't used as one it lasts pretty well. That being said, I do sew up occasional rips before they turn into major rips that cannot be repaired. We haven't had any trouble with the rope or bungee, just teeth going through the material if not used as intended. We will continue to purchase this toy because of the fun it brings us and our dog!!

This was a great toy for about 30 minutes before the golden de-stuffed it. Easy to “fly”, made dog go crazy in a fun way, and he held onto it. Unfortunately when he loves something he also likes to root around in it leading to the de-stuffing. Looks like it can be repaired but once he set his mind to it took about 10 minutes and there were white clouds everywhere. He also needed to be redirected from pulling on tail which is connected by a super thick rubber string that seemed sturdy but he probably could have bit through and possibly eaten the tail if he wasn’t supervised. So, even though half the post is about how he destroyed it - we did REALLY love the toy but will not leave him unsupervised with it. 4yo golden - not a puppy.

This toy presses on the right buttons in my lab mix's DNA. It goes far - including the neighbor's yard. I love this toy and wish the execution matched the concept. Snapping - This is just a natural risk with the toy and the owners responsibility to use it correctly. The mechanism that makes it fly can snap back if you're not careful. We've smacked ourselves when our thumbs came out of the duck's bill. My lab mix loves to have it gently smack her in the face. Yeah, she's not quite right. My husband was play with our terrier and he lost his grip on the rope part. The duck hit her in the eye. She had to have it stained at the vet. A loop might be better than the rope to help you grip the toy. Tugging - Even though you associate this type of rope with tugging, do not try it. I did this with my first one and it tore up within days (see below for details). The construction cannot withstand tugging. See the section above for the dangers of tugging. Stitching - If you buy this toy, I suggest stitching up the seam on the duck's belly with needle and tread. My regular sewing thread is holding up better than what the manufacturer did. I've had two of these toys and both came apart on this seam. I contacted the company about this and they just gave me the "we're always looking to improve our products" line. Plastic tube - Be sure to always pull the toy by the rope. I made the mistake of pulling it by the duck's head. The plastic tube that goes through the body came out his "mouth" due to poor stitching and design. Wire - This was a big shocker. Today we found a large wire wrapped around the rope in the larger version of this toy. I don't know if this has been changed or if it's in the smaller version but I'm really happy my dog didn't eat it. I hope no other dogs did too because it was sharp and would easily puncture the stomach or intestines. I'm torn about this toy because it is awesome. My dog loves it. But, it's a piece of crap that is potentially dangerous. After finding the wire, I'm going to have to check the other one in my yard to make sure it doesn't have one too. I guess other people would have sued the company by now. So far, I haven't found another company that makes a toy like this. If anyone does, please contact me. I'll buy 2.

Our Lab loves this toy, loves to retrieve. The weak area of the design is the rear where the rope comes out. I surgically opened the seam. I took an old ball, cut it in half, slit the side from the fullest part, up the side. Then I fit the rope into the slit in the ball, closed the slit around the rope and inserted it into the goose's rear smooth side outward. Sewed the whole thing back together and it has been working well for months. This procedure prevents the rope knot from pulling through and protects the sling shot part. Sorry if this is hard to follow. Written instructions for major surgery are difficult.

I read the reviews for this item but decided to buy it anyway as we had a great slingshot from Pets at Home but doggo has destroyed the

This is a well made toy, however it did get de-stuffed in a day. The stomach is too tempting! It gets a fair distance with the front thing, but that's more of a gimmick. The tug tail part has survived being tugged. Once it's repaired it will be back in action.
