Review: A truly phenomenal book - If you have any interest at all in the beauty of mathematics then this is a must have. Not only are the illustrations amazing and right on point but the descriptions are clear and thought provoking, (without all those tedious numbers and equations). I will admit my higher math skills are just slightly above abysmal but the author makes the concepts clear and easy to understand, and puts an interesting and often humorous twist on them. For example the chapter on the Mandelbrot set opens with a sub header; “Bugs, seahorses, and elephants, all the way down.” (Playing on the old physics joke.) Then the concepts are explained in a clear and understandable way. From Euclid to the Traveling Salesman Problem and on to the infinite, with some quite surprising relationships along the way. A great read I couldn’t put down. Review: Beautiful images to inspire young minds - Teacher purchased book to inspire students to see pattern in nature and math in the real world. Many kids selected this book to look at--there are excellent pictures to see to understand the ideas provided. Text was higher level, not as interesting to 5th grade gifted students. But the images are awesome inspiration.

Math book to explain mc Escher drawings
My 8 year old grandson has been fascinated by mc escher for years. I have talked to him about the math and geometry that go into the drawings. I got him this book for a better understanding of the development of the drawings. It is a bit advanced for his age but he told me that was okay because he could keep learning from it.

Good lookin
Was great gift but content is not good for a coffee table—not easily shareable but more of a tuck away in the library kinda thing. Which is a shame for the beautiful cover.

It's fun to read A++
I really enjoy reading this book! I find Math Art to be a fascinatingly powerful journey into mathematics. The book speaks to my analytical mind and helps me explore new ways to see and visualize concepts. I appreciate the author's use of pictures inside the book and it's written in a way that is easy for me to understand. I highly recommend this book!

Great Book
I liked this book a lot. Do not need to know math, just need to enjoy the beauty of it. This book does a great job of showing that.

Beautiful
I got this for my math major daughter and she loved it. She actually cut out several of the prints and framed them to hang on her wall
