This is a very handy little gizmo. I still have a working mechanical tach with different rubber tips, but sometimes the photo option is a WAY better way to go.

Seems to work well, used it to check small engine idle and max governed speed settings. Verified it against my drill press speed setpoints. Easy to use and seems accurate enough.

Not me, but this tachometer. I was doing a project where I needed to measure DC brush motor speed up to 100K RPM using a non-optical technique, so i used this as a reference. It was dead-nuts accurate, easy to use, and rugged (i dropped it a few times.) It worked perfectly. It's not very expensive, it's accurate, and it works.

Worked great for a lawnmower idle and running speed adjustment. Just have to hold it at a very specific angle so laser bounces at the right angle back. Basically as close to 90degrees as you can get. Especially challenging on a small shaft. But it did work great for my needs.

Works better than you'd expect for the price. Simple to use. Fast, accurate and consistent. Not a lot of features, but if all you need to know is how fast something is spinning, this is your tool.

The item works as described and accurate if used properly.The only negative is the reflective strips that are supplied.The strips are not sticky enough to stay on without applying tape.But for the money it is a good buy.

I needed to check rotation speeds of turntables. This worked like a charm. Place the marker on the turntable or record and read the rotation speed. That's all there is to it.

I have used the crap out of this and only ordered it to check 1 pulley on 1 project. Have since found a 1000 more uses for it. Awesome product
