Easy to use
This works great. I have a sewing machine but I don’t really know what I’m doing. I needed some odd size camper curtains so I used this to hem up ones I cut.. it worked great. I sort of ironed a fold where the hem would be first, opened the fold and put the tape down, pulled off the backing and put the fold back.. it was easy to keep a nice line. It got a little ugly otherwise and sometimes the iron would push the fabric weird.. at one point I ended up ironing the tape. That got messy. But when I did it the fold way no problems it just took a little longer. So far they all seem to hold together really well. The first try it did come apart but I rushed thinking the tape just needs to be warm... not true. Really try to heat the tape for the 20 seconds. I even used some on outdoor patio furniture type fabric and no issues there... silky fabric was fine... regular curtain type material too. I think if you can iron it than it should work!

Miracle adhesive!
I used Steam-a-Seam to adhere bullion fringe onto a set of drapery panels to lengthen them. I wanted floor to ceiling drapes and I knew there had to be a way. I purchased 6-inch fringe (also from Amazon) and used Steam-a-Seam to adhere it to the fabric. The adhesive strips were 1/4 inch, so I tripled the adhesive width by putting strips side-by-side (I needed 3/4 inch width, but this workaround was no problem at all.) It worked perfectly! I didn't have to sew any stitches, although I did sew two small spots on the ends just for added security where I had wrapped a half-inch of the fringe around the backside of the panels to hide the edges. Probably not even necessary. This adhesive is phenomenal. I'll definitely use it again if the need arises. I'm no seamstress, so this product is a lifesaver!

Have been using for years. Good product.
Works well to baste zippers before stitching. I did not remember having to fight so much to separate paper backing. By the time I pull it off I have fingered the sticky side a lot and think that affected adherence.

Surprised at how well this ended up working
I am no good at sewing. At all. And I had a problem that I assumed was going to take a needle and thread to fix. I am not a fan of all of the sleepwear / lounge pants that I have with an open fly. I was considering actually dealing with the issue and taking them to my usual alterations place to have them sewn shut. Before doing this, I saw somebody on TV giving one of those tips on how to fix something, and they used an iron-on Velcro. Seemed like a good solution for my issue. In searching Amazon for the iron-on Velcro, this better option showed up in the search results. I have been very happy so far with the results. The product was easy to use and only took a minute to put into the pants. After a couple of washings, the pants that I have used this on have had the Steam-a-Seam remain intact. Even on a fleece-type cloth where I was unsure that the adhesion was going to work out. Doing exactly what I needed, and cost me a fraction of what the alteration lady would have charged.

Great item. I used it on 2 x 18" zippers that needed to be on the front of some jeans for a fancy dress outfit - after ironing the zips stayed in place without moving.
