Does this help with eliminating a itchy scalp ?

It does clean hair and scalp well. I normally use it before a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and doesn't hurt to do a hot oil treatment. If scalp continues to itch or skin irritated I would see dermatologist. You can also try Keracare dry itchy scalp shampoo and conditioner

Do you need to follow this with another shampoo or just condition the hair as usual?

As a cosmetologist I am very familiar with this product and it works BUT yes you do need to follow in with another shampoo because oat and protein is just to clarify the hair of any dandruff and oils you have to go back in with what the hair needs as far as “moisturizing shampoo if your hair is dry, strengthening shampoo if your hair is breaking and elasticity in the hair if it’s weak, and it goes on and then you add your conditioner to lock in what you have already provided the hair with. You do those steps you most definitely will see and feel a difference in your hair💕

I have oily roots and dry ends my hair is color-treated but moisture shampoos leave my roots greasy would this one be good for my hair?

I would definitely try to stay focus on shampooing your roots as best as you can. I have locs and my roots are regular and my ends are dry. I used the shampoo from roots to tips and my hair felt balanced. My roots were not oily and my tips felts soft and moisturized. I have 4c hair and locs, so everyone is different. But I did like the way my hair felt! I use it once a month so I don’t overload on the protein, that can cause damage.
