This is my first “litter trapping” mat so I went with this inexpensive brand and I gotta say this concept work and I like it. There’s a lot of factors that go into why or how much sand our cats track like the type of sand used and how long their hair is - but regardless of you have the best sand and short hair, we will universally experience the issue of sand sticking to their wet fur. I’ve tried other mats in the past that were made of rubber/silicone with little indentations to “trap” the sand. The issue with those is that if you walked over or bumped into the mat the sand would jump up from out of it making the same mess. This concept and design - widely used across multiple brands on Amazon - simply works. And I mention this because as much as I love this product I also wonder what other mats and additional features this design offers if I allowed myself to spend a little more. But since this was purchased to experiment with here are my thoughts: Pros: - Function: the hexagonal shapes are thin enough and raised high enough that most litter will be trapped in. In fact if the cats have a little bit of sand on their leg and gently lift and drop them over the mat to shake off the sand. - Cleaning: This model has a slit on one end allowing you to fold the mat, carry it outside and shake off the sand that will slide out from the slit. Additionally, rinsing with water (without drenching it) proved to have no adverse effects on the mat. Cons: - Materials: The mat has overall lightweight construction which may result in the same issue with those silicone mats where an accidental bumping into might shake up and rattle the sand already captured to outside of the mat. I’ve only encountered this a handful of times over a few months and each time it was not as drastic as the messes left behind by those silicone mats. - If this mat weighed more I’d feel more comfortable about it’s long-term durability plus preventing the issue of the mat moving a lot when bumped into or walked over. - Sizes: This is more of a detractor for all brands and types of litter box mats, but I think with people living from small apartments to large homes there should be more options for mat sizes and shapes. Conclusion: Overall, after a few months of use, I can say that for the price this is an absolute great value. In fact, I’m wondering if this could be used as a mat for the front door to trap in pebbles and dirt. So that goes to show how much I enjoy this design. However, If this is not your first litter trapping “black hole” mat and if you’re looking for something “better” or “larger”, you should know that I consider this a mat for those with budget in mind or those that want to try one for the first time. I will stick with this mat for now but if the manufacturer offers heavier one with different materials or different sizes I would upgrade to one in a heartbeat. - In the meantime, I’ll enjoy this design and less cleaning.

This mat is perfect for catching litter and keeping my floors cleaner! It’s a good size for a small space, and the material is soft yet durable—my cat even enjoys sitting on it sometimes. Worked as it should

I've had no problems with this litter mat. I read some of the negative reviews about how the mat never flattens or how it isn't durable, and I was concerned. However, I decided to buy it anyway. My mat flattened out just fine and I've had it for about 2 weeks and it looks like new. I think the durability issue might be with cats that haven't been declawed on the front paws and like to scratch on horizontal surfaces. They probably tear it apart, and it's made of a soft foam on top so a cat could tear it apart with their claws very easily. Therefore, it's not really a bad product; it's just a cat behavior problem these people complaining about the durability of the mat are having. They're then writing negative reviews on Amazon and misrepresenting this product about its durability. I've read similar, negative reviews about other more expensive brand mats like this one that I considered buying. So, I'm kind of happy that people wrote those, because I decided to buy this mat since it was one of the cheapest. To my surprise, it works fantastically! This mat has virtually eliminated all tracking of litter on the floor, and I use a wheat litter that tracks very easily. I don't have to sweep away litter constantly, anymore. Also, I can dump the litter it catches into the trash, easily. Overall, I recommend this product, but if you have a cat that's not declawed on its front paws and likes to scratch horizontal surfaces, I don't think that any of these type of litter catching mats are going to work for your cat. From what I can tell, most of them are made of foam that a cat could easily destroy with their front claws in no time. Even if they were made of a rubber-type material, I think a cat with front claws that likes to scratch horizontal surfaces could still tear apart the mat via the holes on the mat. So, if you have a cat with front claws, especially one that likes to scratch horizontal surfaces, I'd recommend a rubber-type, solid mat for your cat that doesn't have holes like this mat, if you want the mat to last a decent amount of time.

Lorsque je l'ai reçu il me sembait très rigide, car il avait passé plusieurs jours dans ma boîte aux lettres en hiver, mais en revenant à la température de la pièce, il a repris sa flexibilité et semble très bien! la largeur est un peu juste pour 2 litières, mais le produit fonctionne bien et il est de la bonne couleur.
