HODEDAH IMPORT 4-Shelf Bookcase Cabinet, Black

The material is a bit cheaply made, but for the price, it’s still a really nice bookcase. I ordered two for my kids to store their “junk” so it’s not all over the place. They were very easy to assemble—I didn’t even need the instructions for the second one. I’ll definitely order another in the future. No complaints here. Love it.

When I first opened the box the cabinet came in I noticed right away that the corner of the sides was chipped and cracked while assembling it I was able to put the broken section towards the back of the cabinet so you cannot notice it unless you are trying to find it. As I continued assembling the cabinet, one of the magnet door pieces was broken completely, I was able to crazy glue it and add it to the last drawer which I won't be opening as much compared to the above doors. Once the cabinet was assembled, it came out beautiful, the instructions were very easy, all of the pieces came with a few extra, and overall I had an amazing time putting the cabinet together by myself.

It is cheap particle board furniture but it is great for the price. The left/right upright pieces provide the strength for the piece. All the pieces are pretty heavy duty. Not to hard to put together but make sure you have good lighting as some of the pre drilled hole are hard to see. Not a big fan of the nylon/plastic hinges but they should last. Beware that you can’t mount the hinges to the doors and hope to slide them in. They won’t. For each door, you have to mount the lower hinge to the door, put it roughly in place. Hold the top hinge to the shelf, pry it open (very tight, I have use a pair of pliers) to stretch it open, then slide the top of the door in, then screw. But once they are in place, everything works well. The worst bit are the magnets (to hold the door when closed). The housing is extremely fragile. In fact, one of mine came broken. Good thing I had planned to have one shelf open as a night stand. This would have been 5 stars if that piece was solid. But overall, good value for the money.

My partially disabled husband can't get upstairs (bad back) so we use the small 1st fl bedroom; he does not have enough closet/dresser space for his clothes on 1st floor & piles are always folded upatop the washing machine as the bathroom he gets dressed in is right next to it. The dryer & washer machine is about 55' LONG, and so I got this in white, and laid it horizontal and now have 4 good sized areas for him to stack his Clean T shirts, sweat pants etc! Or U can use for laundry, cleaning items whatever. Thing is I have to see if spin cycle is "too much " for it but it's heavy so think it will be ok & I put the foam pieces that came in the box, under it to avoid noise & scratching. Only downside, I am very handy, 69 yr old woman who can usually easily assemble stuff: this was too heavy and difficult for me; had to hire our handyman but so far I love it and good price!

At $43 we didn’t expect to buy a great product to begin with but what we received wasn’t worth what we paid. First thing we noticed was all four of the pvc tacks used for bottom feet were all bent, which we straightened. Unfortunately the next items like one of the plastic handles were broken in half and another scratched up. Then we found brittle and broken pieces of the door holders (used for hinges). The wood panels were scratched and peeled in areas. The only items not damaged were the metal screws, which at this rate could also be defective. Before proceeding or attempting to get replacement parts from the manufacturer I contacted Amazon Customer Service where I was issued a refund. No need to bother getting a replacement if the product was so defective. I do not recommend this product and despite being made of pressed board I’ve purchased many items in the past that were much better made.

I will start off by saying that I purchased 2 sizes of this product. The 3 door version same first. It was super easy to put together and it looks great! The 4 door version, which is what this review will focus on, was a different story. I'll break it down into 3 sections for easier processing. As a note, I decided to keep the piece even with all the issues, mainly because I have chronic pain and the thought of disassembling this and dealing with returning or exchanging it makes me want to cry. Issues: - 1 set of the plastic door hinges came broken and unusable. Due to this, one section of the cabinet cannot have a door on it. I choose to leave the door off the top section to make sure the bottom had all the structure support it needed when full. Since it still looks ok without it, I left it off. (6th picture) - 3 door magnets arrived broken with 2 of them being unusable. I ended up using different a magnet that I had on hand to keep the doors locked on the bottom of the piece. Since that section won't be used for more than long term storage, it wasn't super important for it to be able to open and close easily. - The bottom corner of the right wall panel has a chunk missing. Since it didn't affect the structure once assembled, and it's on the bottom hidden section, I just went with it. I will fill it with wood putty eventually. - Most boards arrived with scratches along the edges (see picture 5 for the worst). Fortunately for me, they were on the inside of the doors and on the edge that doesn't face people. Cons: - For the price point of this, I expected better quality for this product. - The multiple broken pieces were highly annoying. - The instructions are poorly written. It was difficult to tell in the pictures which was the front of the board and which was the back. Fortunately, my reasoning deductive skills helped me. - Did I mention the MULTIPLE broken pieces? - The floor protection pieces that are included with the parts are a hard plastic. Once had a slight dent that made it sharp and pointy. I ended up replacing them with felt feet that I keep on hand. - The door handles are a cheap flimsy plastic. They're easy enough to replace by purchasing nicer ones, but for the look it was going for and the price point, inexpensive metal ones or even a better looking plastic would have gone a long way. Pros: Overall, it's an attractive looking piece that is sturdy and can hide away a significant amount of items. It's super easy to assemble. The instruction pages were static clung between 2 pieces of Styrofoam so I didn't find them until almost the final steps. Since I've put enough pieces of furniture together in my lifetime, it was simple enough to figure out how to build without instructions. It ships and arrives quickly with Amazon Prime. Like I said, there were a bunch of issues with this piece, but with other items I had on hand in my house, I was able to fix most of them. I'll keep the ones I have, but I don't see myself buying another one of these products.

Fast and reliable. Like the quality of the product. Ample space for storage. Easy to put together. Good price and stunning.

Easy enough to assemble. Unfortunately one handle was broken into two pieces. I contacted seller and got an immediate response......my replacement handles (they sent two but I only needed one) were en route and I received them today. Can’t ask for more than that.

Good and sturdy, but arrived with some superficial damage. From a distance it's not noticeable but it is noticeable when you're using it or inspecting it closely. Overall I still like it, I was really in need of some storage space.

I love this unit. The measurements were perfect for the space I wanted to put it, its always wise to measure but I had limited space and needed this, it's depth is ample and height a great size. Its sturdy, functional and stylish.

Easy to build, be aware that they do come with some slight damages and broken parts. I had a handle broke in 2, but I am replacing them to match my other furniture.
