4 years later and still going strong keeping my MacBook 2019 cool
IDK about other laptops, but I've had enough macs apart to know that this style of fan is pulling air through how they keep themselves cool. Which frankly is what I look for when buying cooling fans, it needs to work with what your laptop cooling system already does IMHO. Mine has run for 4 years, the only thing I wish is that I could take it apart to give it a good cleaning, but compressed air does seem to do the job. Looking at some of the comments, I'm not sure folks are aware of how little USB power (5v) is.

Very low powered and weak airflow, but super quiet
For $25 I was hoping to use this rectangular shaped fan to blow air through and out a computer case in an arcade cabinet (set of two, $50). I wasn’t expecting power like a regular floor fan, but I was at least hoping to move as much air as a 120mm case fan. It doesent, it’s probably fine for its purpose of blowing heat from a laptop perched on it, but for $25 the value is terrible for the air it moves. You can get $5 and $10 laptop coolers that have 2 or 4 fans and are like a tray that sits under laptop and moves as much or more air as this item. Mounting system is fine and build quality is fine; but I wish these had more power. It’s about as powerful as one of those ashtray-with-fan-built-in things.

Dropped CPU temp by 10C on MS SurfaceBook 2
I was having issues with CPU/GPU getting too hot when connected to multiple monitors and running video which would cause CPU speed to drop when connected to docking station. This cooling pad worked better than the bottom fans since the CPU on a SurfaceBook is not at the bottom, but behind the Surface (screen). At high speeds you can sort of hear the fan, but it isn't too bad and testing cpu temps showed a drop from 55C to 45C.

Not nearly strong enough
When I got it and saw the dial on the side, I was worried about this, but the fan is not nearly strong enough. It barely does anything for my tablet - my fan worked a thousand times better, but I got this for the quiet aspect. Very disappointed.

very good product
I like it very much! It is suitable for gaming. When I play games like Dota2, my laptop will be very hot. This fun helps a lot to cool it down.
