I saw this on Amazon and thought I would give it a try as I was tired of having my current "traditional wallet" slip out of my back pocket and this Minimalist wallet was designed to be carried in your front pocket. There were a number of great things that came from this: 1. I had to clean out my old wallet, and get rid of a bunch of stuff I never used and didn't need (a great experience) 2. As this wallet also hold your keys, I minimized the keys I would keep with me to just three, and attached them to the small clasp I ended up with a very small package that is slightly larger than your credit cards and fits nicely in your front pocket (even with the keys attached). I've been using it for about a week and don't miss my old wallet at all. Its very light, and pretty easy access to anything you need. The green band snaps over the credit/card money edge to keep things from falling out, and is easy to remove to get access to wallet items. I also have one of the thin tiles in the crabby wallet in case I lose it (the Tile has a BLE link so I can find it the wallet's location using my cell phone), and the wallet still functions great (not too thick). The green band can also wrap around your cellphone, and I've tried this but think it makes the wallet too bulky so I don't use it, but others might like it or perhaps you can use it at night to keep your wallet and cellphone together; but not really great combination for the pocket. I'm very happy I made the move to change my wallet, and would recommend this to others.

I recently ordered the Crabby Gear Men's v2 wallet after losing my longtime no frills leather relic wallet that I bought in college eight years ago because I thought it looked nice. But things have since changed--I moved the city, I sold my car, and I live a lifestyle that is powered by my legs. I have worked hard to reduce my form factor and the weight of my possessions to help me live a better life. This wallet fits the bill perfectly. First of all, it's very small and light. The two pocket setup is stitched from a soft and somewhat elastic material. It is just wide enough to fit several cards. I believe they advertise up to 10, though I'm not sure why you would want to carry that many cards if you can help it. For my day to day life, it keeps my debit card, drivers license, and zip card snugly in its crabby embrace. The thing that sets this wallet apart from many other minimalist wallets that I looked at is the elastic band that wraps around the wallet to hold everything in. While it isn't completely necessary, it gives one piece of mind to know that whatever you put in the pockets aren't going anywhere. Although you can't really tell from other pictures, the band is sewn into the wallet so there is no danger of losing it. On the inside of the band loop is a small strip of soft rubber coating that helps to keep anything else you slip underneath of it (keys, cash, tickets, etc) in place. Some reviews have mentioned that this will eventually wear out and come off. If that's the case I see no indication of it yet as the coating feels pretty secure. Either way, it's all gravy because I don't think the rubber coating is necessary. It's just an added bonus. Lastly, my favorite feature is the key loop. I absolutely hate carrying keys. I don't like how they feel in my pocket, or how they jingle, or how I always forget them. This loop solves all of those problems with aplomb! Simply tuck the keys into the elastic band once you've looped them on and they hug the wallet such that I never notice them in my pocket at all. Thankfully, although the loop cord is thin and uses a very small keychain assembly, I tested it with some forceful tugs and it feels very strong. That's really all there is to say. If you want a minimalist wallet that can accommodate keys and keep your form factor slim and comfortable, this may just be for you. The quality is on point and the construction is solid. Some have noted that it is a little awkward to carry cash since you have to fold it up into quarters, but this is likely not something that will slow you down or bother you once you actually put it into practice. The crabby gear men's v2 (it's totally fine for anyone regardless of gender btw) wallet is a cute and quality space saver that feels comfortable and holds everything you really need for your day to day living.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to review this innovative take on the traditional wallet. I'm one of those guys who has carried a bifold wallet in my back pocket since forever. However, I've definitely wanted something a bit more compact for quite some time as I almost exclusively use credit cards to pay for things these days. I found other solutions, like money clips, to be too flashy, had no place to hide "emergency cash", and/or having a propensity to scratch up my credit cards. I saw this item on Kickstarter quite some time ago and it caught my interest; but then in the rush of life just forgot about it until I happened upon it while browsing Amazon. I immediately purchased and have been thoroughly satisfied! I carry around 10 plastic cards (credit cards, driver's license, state bar membership card, etc.), a couple dollar bills, and one "emergency" bill. Everything I need fits into the Crabby Wallet with minimal bulk! The band keeps everything secure and having the ability to quickly attach my car key to the wallet make sure I don't lose anything. While finding the card I'm looking for may take a bit more time than in a traditional wallet, the "quick access" pocket is convenient for my two main go-to cards. The only way I might see improving the product is to add a "quick access" pocket to the opposite side of the product as well, but certainly that's just a personal thought which would likely increase the bulk of the product and not be desirable for everyone. Even if your preference is to maintain a larger wallet, something like this is perfect for traveling, when you need to have means for payment but want to minimize bulk. This is certainly an improvement on the double-looped rubber band solution I've typically used in those instances. I'd highly recommend the product (and have already done so). The quality of the item's construction equals the innovative nature of the concept and the reasonable price makes it a no-brainer deal. That's something that certainly can't be said of many things these days.

I had my first Crabby Wallet for about 5 years. After about a year or 2, the original wallet started to become slightly loose. After about 4 years it stopped holding things. While I wish the thing lasted longer, I found that I liked the format very much. I looked for something else, but I could not find something as good. The reason I went with this wallet is that I wanted a front-pocket wallet that would not be bulky. This wallet really excels as a front pocket wallet. I just want to carry a few things around with me, and this allows me to do that. The wallet is, essentially, an elastic pocket. The whole thing stretches. When new, it holds the cards very securely; so much so the top strap is not even necessary when new. The key loop is pretty useless. It was pretty awkward with most keys; Too bad. Some things have changed since the original. 1) the strap over the top is available in colors other than red. There is some anti-slip stuff on the back of the strap over the top. 3) the loop to key loop is secured differently. The old loop was just a thick piece of cord. Overall, the changes are improvements.

I was always into a thinner, smaller wallet and I thought I had a great wallet until I came across this particular crabby wallet. I was having a contest with a friend who could make their wallet thinner. I came across this product tried it out and it’s a life-changing wallet. I highly recommend the product. The quality is excellent and it is ultra thin and it allows plenty of room for cards and a little bit of cash While squeezing everything very tight. It’s so thin and slim but yet you could tell it’s still in your pocket. You could still feel it, which is important because you never wanna go with that feeling of not having your wallet. Highly recommend it to anyone that Looking to slim it down and still be cool stylish.

I have only owned it for a week, but I love this wallet. First hurdle, was convincing myself that I didn't need a leather wallet or card holder. I thought to myself that nobody would take a guy seriously that pulled out a Crabby looking wallet out of his pocket. No woman would date a guy with such a weird taste. I am comfortable taking this out of my pocket. Excellent build quality, doesn't look like an elastic wallet. For the past twenty years I have carried many many non folding card holder wallet. After a year or less they stretch out. Cards don't stay in the pockets. I have numerous times pulled my leather card holders out and depending on the angle when it comes out of your pocket cards have fallen out. I have lost a unused $50 starbucks card because of this. Enter the Crabby... the entire wallet is made of elastic and the strap that goes over the cards is fantastic. I no longer fear cards falling out. This wallet is not for everyone... If you have not figured out how to simplify your life and live without all the stuff in your inch thick folding or trip fold wallet then you should pass. If you need to flip your wallet open and see your cash and be able to flip through your bills, this isn't the wallet for you. I prefer my wallet in my front pocket and cash in my other front pocket. When i used to carry a huge wallet in my back pocket it gave me back issues from sitting on my wallet in the car, work, etc. I can't comment on the keychain. Haven't used it. If you enjoy simplicity and minimalism, then you will love this wallet. If anything changes I will edit my review to reflect it.

I went through a wallet phase where I was trying a bunch of different wallets, but I couldn't quite find the right one. This is the one. Perfect size. I carry maybe $5-10, and most of the time no cash at all. I really just need something to hold my cards. This is perfect for that. Big fan of the materials. The metal wallets look cool and all, but they're not the most comfortable to carry around in my experience - they can dig into your skin, they get too hot/cold at the height of summer/winter, and they're weirdly heavy. This wallet is comfortable to have in your pocket and very lightweight. I also love the little touches. the little strap that holds your cards in place adds a nice bit of extra security. The keychain thing is nice to have if you're doing something active and want to keep everything attached and in one place. This is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

The perfect minimalist wallet. I have been an owner of a Crabby Wallet since the original Kickstarter. Many people use it as a small wallet for travel, biking, or going to the gym. I use mine all the time. It is small enough to fit in my front pocket without being uncomfortable and is so light and slim that I hardly notice it. It has enough room for me to easily keep 3 credit cards, a driver's license, other ID, and 5-10 bills with room to spare. You could fit double that if you wanted, but my whole goal in moving to a minimalist wallet was to get rid of all the extra junk I carried around for no reason. The elastic band keeps items secure inside the wallet. I never worry about things falling out. I do not personally use the lobster claw keychain, but my daughter uses hers for her car keys and has not had any problems with it. I have owned my V2 for about 6 months, and with daily use as my primary wallet it shows no signs of wear. The V2 wallet fixed a few of the minor issues people experienced in the original. The original version was slightly smaller so cards were a tighter fit and some people had issues with durability, particularly with the elastic band. I did not experience problems with my original after a year of dailyuse, but I upgraded to the V2 because it is a better design and I passed my V1 on to one of my kids.
