This fire extinguisher is high-quality and can function in an emergency, and it is made of quality construction steel. The pin has a retainer so you don’t lose it, and the gauge is easy to read. It was easy to install it on my wall with the bracket. It’s comfortable to hold and it looks good. The bright red can be seen easily in a fire and it’s big and can extinguish any fire you should be extinguishing.

I ordered this then cancelled it after reading other reviews. Did more research & ordered it again. I was super worried out the pin slipping out & it going off during shipment. It arrived perfect & pin was secured in place. Everyone needs a fire extinguisher in the home & we moved & needed a new one. Hopefully it will sit in the closet & we never have to use it but glad I purchased this one. I feel safer now when we use the wood fireplace. Be sure to order one & keep on hand for any fire emergency that could arise.

Not the sexiest thing to purchase as a gift. Definitely the most practical. If you are looking for a good safe extinguisher, this is 'firefighter approved.' Hope they never have to use it. Just glad to know they have it!!

Needed a decent fore extinguisher for my shop. You know the saying, “its not if, but when”. This is a good and trusted brand. Comes with a wall mount hangar and was properly charged. Do yourself a favor, always have at least one fire extinguisher in your home and your garage or shop.

So this Amerex extinguisher is well made. Some people complained about the stickers being crooked (of all things!) but I will say, there are two things that bother me. First of all, the pin doesn’t stay in at all! The wire that keeps you from losing the pin is stiff and forces the pin out. I removed the pin from that wire so the pin stays in but there is no resistance when putting the pin into the handle. If you tipped the extinguisher to the side it would just fall out. Secondly, a wall mount bracket was included but NO screws or anchors were included. I’ll either have to look for screws around the house or drive to a store to get them. For $70 I’d expect screws and a pin that stays in place.

This type is a bit more expensive because it's made with metal parts. Cheap fire extinguishers made with plastic valves leak. This one's metal valve isn't as likely to leak - which means it'll work if/when needed. If the pressure zeroes out over time, it's rechargeable. Cheap fire extinguishers with plastic valves aren't rechargeable. When they lose their pressure you have to toss them. This fire extinguisher arrived fully pressurized and in excellent condition. Comes with a metal hook (for wall hanging if desired). Some upgrades are totally worth it. :) Consider what this item is intended to protect - you, your family, and your property. Dependability was my first consideration. Secondarily, recyclability was important to me too.

Best price anywhere for a Fire Extinguisher.

Good product to have on hand when needed, I mounted mine in truck back under tonneau cover. Video reccomended under your seat is best, knowing the destructive force of these compressed cylinders God forbid it should explode. Not under my seat! Installation was easy having bought the mounting bracket and attached to a sturdy body panel.

This extinguisher is the perfect size for our new servery and came with all the necessary hardware.
