Nice flavor and easy to use. It does not contain MSG which is great - since then one can then control how much MSG one is adding to the soup/stew. Always gotta add the MSG fyweeee-ioh!

I really do like this product. I had bought it to use in a recipe called addictive cabbage. One nice thing about it is that it is divided into individual straws that made it very handy for putting it in my cabbage dish it did have a really nice flavor so I am very happy with this product

Have bought this product twice and i use it to make kew pie mayonnaise. It's what came up in my search for dashi without MSG and so far I love it and will keep buying it.

False advertising - no English instructions
The product title explicitly states there were English instructions however the only English on the packaging is a sticker about cancer warning and a barcode sticker which both cover vast amounts of information on the package.

very flavorful and no MSG
Awase Dashi Powder with No MSG (Bonito and Kelp Soup Stock) is one of the best "instant" powder mixes/soup bases I've come across. It is very flavorful with a fresh, authentic and well balanced bonito and kelp taste. And no MSG! YAY! - although I do enjoy its added umami flavor, I'm one of evidently a fair number of people who is sensitive to MSG (among several reactions it really triggers Rosacea flare-ups.) These packets store well in the pantry and are very convenient for use as a soup base for udon or soba and with added miso paste make a lovely miso soup, - also quick and easy for a spur of the moment ramen snack. (ALERT for those with certain dietary restrictions: - although this instant base makes a soup which does not taste very "salty" it is NOT a low sodium product.) I am so pleased with this product, I am a repeat customer.
