Creative Pebble Plus 2.1 USB-Powered Desktop Speakers with Down-Firing Subwoofer and Far-Field Drivers, Up to 8W RMS Total Power for PCs and Laptops (Black)

I recently upgraded my main pc, and used the existing surround sound speakers on the new machine. I decided to keep the existing computer in the same office room, and needed a relatively simple sound set up to replace the speakers that I'd migrated to the new PC, without wanting to add lots of new wiring to the spaghetti of wires that live under the desks. The computer is running Windows 10 pro on an intel 8700K CPU and MSI Carbon Pro 390 motherboard. I initially considered a blue tooth set up, but there is a lot of electronic equipment in this room, and I was worried about interference. As it happened, these speakers from Creative were included in the Amazon Prime Deal promotion, and after a short period of research, I clicked 'buy it now'. The speakers arrived a couple of days later, two days before expected. Impressive, Amazon. I unboxed and set the speakers and subwoofer up according to the instructions, powering the speakers from a USB port on the PC itself, for a test run. Everything worked fine, so I then positioned everything properly, using extension cables for both the 3.5 mm speaker - PC jack and the speaker - subwoofer RCA jack. I also plugged the speakers into a dedicated 5v power adapter socket, freeing up the USB socket on the computer for other things. The integrated cables are quite short, in my opinion, so consider buying RCA male - Female and 3.5 mm male to female extension cables if you keep your PC under the desk, or, as in my own case, at some distance from the speakers themselves. I bought the Amazon Basics 3.5 mm Auxiliary Jack Audio Extension Cable ( 5m ) and the KabelDirekt RCA extension cable ( 2m ) and can confirm both cables work fine. As far as the speakers are concerned, I'm very impressed with the quality ( and on High Gain ) the volume of the sound. The speakers are each the size of a child's play ball, and the subwoofer is about 8"x 8"x 6". The speakers would easily fit either side of a monitor on an average sized desk without taking up too much space, and the neat ( and VERY light ) subwoofer can easily be tucked away under the desk. Again, I'd advise buying cable extensions to avoid stretching wires. I found the setup to be a little on the Bass heavy side as standard, but this issue was easily solved by installing 'Peace Equalizer' and the "Equalizer APO" from Sourceforge. This is hands down the best 2.1 desktop speaker set up I have ever used. The sound is very clear, and although it does get distorted at very high levels, I'd can't see a scenario where I'd need to raise the levels that high in normal use. The speakers are perfect for listening to movies and YouTube videos, and are perfectly adequate for listening to your own FLAC collection whilst sitting at your desk. I paid £33.24 for this speaker set, and as far as I'm concerned, this is is probably the best value computer related purchase I have ever made. The price at writing is only £34.99, and in all honesty, you'd be making a solid choice for your money. With the sole reservation about the length of the cabling, I would recommend these speakers 100% for 90% of computer users. Brilliant value.

For the money spent, these are great value! The little speakers sit great on either side of my desk mat and I have the subwoofer sat behind my monitor on my windowsill - not the best place to have it, but it does for now. The sound is very treble orientated, but using EasyEffects meant I could just run a bass enhancer through. Sounds fantastic with the likes of Knocked Loose, Rage Against The Machine, Pendulum, Heavensgate (metalcore band, not the cult), Varials, pretty much most music, I reckon. Heavy bass doesn't really distort it at comfortable listening levels. Connects through my Steelseries headset DAC great. Can highly recommend for basic speakers

Pretty amazing for the price. Impressed at the sound that comes out of it considering these speakers are passive. I was surprised to see no power cable in the box only to be amazed at the quality and the volume that they can produce. It's not a top of the range sound engineering piece of hardware, but it definitely serves a purpose fills the "cheap and cheerful" bracket. Very happy. Great speakers.

* FIRST IMPRESSIONS I recently upgraded my whole WFH setup and bought 2 (1 x 34" and 1 x 27") Dell Curved Monitors. I wanted some speakers that were compact, but could also deliver excellent sound quality. I spent countless of hours looking for the best budget set and these did not disappoint. The speakers came well packed in medium-sized (but not huge) box with all the necessary cables and manual. First impressions were, the speakers looked really good, not too big and just the right size to fit under my screens. * SETUP The set up was fairly easy, I wish the cable length was longer between all the speakers, but it's unfortunately fairly common for PC speakers to be quite short in length. And if you wanted to extend the length, you can't either because the cables are not detachable from the speakers which is a shame. In my case though, the length was just perfect so no complaints from me! * SOUND QUALITY That's where these speakers really shine. The sound quality is incredible, I didn't expect the quality to be that good for such a cheap and compact set of speakers. I've been listening to different types of songs including some that I listen to on my Sennheiser MTW3 and I must say the sound quality is definitely up there. Maybe not as defined but they certainly provide a wide soundstage and rich sound. One downside is that you can't adjust the treble but I am very happy with the default sound. * BASS I was super worried that the bass would be quite low or non-existent after reading other reviews, but that was not the case at all. The bass is definitely punchy and loud and I'm so glad I went for the subwoofer version! * HOW DO THEY COMPARE WITH OTHERS I had the Logitech Z200 and more recently Creative Inspire T10 but the Creative Pebble Plus 2.1 beats both of them, by far!! I don't think I would ever buy other speakers for PC use in the future. * CONCLUSION This is one of my favourite recent purchases. It's incredibly rare to find excellent value for money and these definitely do not disappoint. If you're looking for super high quality HiFi sound these may not be for you but for regular work, games, music and YouTube watching these are just perfect in my opinion. And I've tried several other speakers in the past but happy to settle with these for a longtime. Worth every penny!

Cracking little set of hard wired speakers. Decent sound quality and volume at a very goid price. Ideal for desktop computing abd listening to a little music. Huge improvement over standard laptop speakers.

Estos altavoces Creative los pedí hace aproximadamente un mes ya que buscaba unos altavoces sencillos, económicos pero que tuviera subwoofer, para tener sonido de graves, ya que cambia mucho el tenerlos o no. A la hora de pedirlos no sobrepasaba los treinta y seis euros, precio cercano a la media, pero estando en la época de navidad no era un precio muy elevado, con lo cual lo consideré una excelente compra. La idea era utilizarlo para un monitor que tiene salida mini Jack que a la vez está conectado a la PS5 y me ha servido perfectamente. Si quieres utilizarlo con la PS5 directamente no podrás ya que la única conexión que tiene de entrada es por mini Jack, así que necesitaras que el monitor/televisor que conectas la PS5 tenga este tipo de salida o utilizar un multiplexor que divida la salida HDMI en con este conector, hay varios por ahí. Otro aspecto que a mi me ha venido de maravilla es que la alimentación es por USB, por lo que lo he podido conectar a una salida USB que tiene el monitor, evitando más cables por en medio. Si no es tu caso, necesitarás un adaptador de corriente de 5V y al menos 2A, aunque creo que con 1A bastaría es cuestión de probarlo, de los que usas para el móvil o la Tablet. No se incluye ningún adaptador en la caja, resumo los puntos más importante para mi. 👍 Me ha gustado ✅ Sonido más que bueno para el tamaño que tiene, graves sin ser muy potentes, adecuados para no molestar. ✅ Pocos conectores y cables, prácticamente dos, el conector mini Jack a la fuente de sonido y el cable USB para la alimentación. ✅ El tamaño de los altavoces, incluyendo el subwoofer no es muy grande, no ocupan mucho sitio, el subwoofer lo tengo en el suelo. ✅ El diseño de los altavoces es moderno, la forma redonda y la posición que tiene un poco elevadas hace que el sonido se emita de forma equilibrada. ✅ La relación calidad precio creo que es lo mejor a destacar. ✅ Sonido genérico tanto para videojuegos, música, etc. 👎 Contras o cosas a tener en cuenta. ❌ No tiene muchas opciones de configuración, un interruptor para la ganancia nada más. En conclusión, lo mejor es la relación calidad-precio que tiene, sonido bastante bueno (teniendo en cuenta que la gama de altavoces es baja) yo diría que equilibrados, no muy grandes. Obviamente si quieres más potencia de audio, o incluso más opciones de configuración tienes que buscar una gama más alta, pero sinceramente desde hace un mes aproximadamente que lo tengo, para el uso sobre todo de la PS5, están muy pero que muy bien. La relación calidad precio que tiene hace que le ponga cinco estrellas.

Échaudé par l'achat d'une barre de son low cost dont le son était vraiment étouffé et de mauvaise qualité, j'ai choisi ce kit d'enceintes en lisant de nombreux avis sur Internet. Je suis vraiment époustouflé par le rendu sonore de ce kit. Non seulement, le son n'est pas étouffé, mais il est parfaitement restitué et de qualité, et ce malgré la taille de ces enceintes. Le caisson de basses rempli parfaitement sa fonction, sans toutefois en faire trop. Cerise sur le gâteau , les enceintes sont jolies. Le son est assez puissant pour un(e) bureau / chambre et l'orientation des enceintes est un choix judicieux. Ce n'est qu'un détail, j'aurais aimé cependant avoir un câble auxiliaire un petit peu plus long, et un chargeur de fourni. A noter que pour activer le mode Haut gain, il vous faudra un adaptateur usb 5V de 2 A. Pour résumer un très bon kit, puissant, produisant un son excellent à un prix très correct.

WAY better than expected for this price!!

Excellent value for money. Nice and loud for USB powered speakers. Sound is a tiny bit muddy at higher volume and sub is a bit lacking but overall these speakers are excellent value for money. Movies and Games sound pretty good on these. Highly recommend these over the cheaper Logitech alternative (had to bin those due to humming when turned off and poor sound quality)
