Shireen DC-1021 Outdoor CAT5e FTP - Shielded - 1000ft Spool

I have been using Shireen DC-1021 for about 10 years. It is a good and durable product. At this point, I don't buy any other wire for outdoor use. The only challenge I have is with mistakenly cutting the shield, but that is operator error, not a problem with the wiring.

I purchased this cable to install a home video camera system that uses power-over-ethernet, i.e. both data and power are carried on just one cat cable. My nephew works for an internet provider company and he installs their equipment every day. He told me this is the brand of wire his company uses and he uses it everyday for new installs and they have never had a problem with it. He said he knows it's quality is good and is dependable over time. That was all I needed to know and the reason I bought this particular brand.

Good cable, shielded as a group. Wiring inside is solid. Fed into caps easily and crimped well. Have 150+ft runs that so far appear to be transmitting fine with an 8mp security camera. Nice balance between stiff/sturdy and flexible around corners. I got <997 feet, not 1000 (+ margin of error). Yes, I measured it painstakingly with it stretched very taut, piece by piece. Yes, it actually mattered for my application, you won't believe me but I really needed exactly 1000ft. Not the end of the world but you can't get more without getting a 500ft roll so I'm going to be a jerk and take 1 star... Should have at least what it advertises and probably a little extra to be sure customer is getting what was advertised. It's good though unless you need that exact 1000, recommended.

Very good cat cable! Wow, Use this cable for my 10+ security ip cameras and o men i will buy this again a hearth bit! You want quality then you get this! Also make sure you get good cable ends and good crimper! I used: Ideal IDI86396 8 Position 8 Contact Round Mod Plug and Klein Tools VDV226-107 Compact Ratcheting Modular Crimper, it does the job to perfection !

Best CAT5E cable around, have used multiple brands, this is the only one that has NOT went bad after installing in sunlight.

Shireen has never let us down! We usually buy their CAT6 FTP cabling, but this was a close second for less cost - great for residential CPE installations.

Highest quality cable I've ever used: A+++ IMO.
