Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Excellent from Pablo, as always. - Pablo Hidalgo has done another fantastic job with this visual dictionary. These books have become indispensable companion reads with each and every Star Wars movie released. This book really adds some additional context and information to the Rise of Skywalker. Now I loved that movie a lot, but I also recognise that there were quite a few holes in the plot and this book really does fill in a lot of them. The photography of all the different props, locales and characters are excellent. I’m always amazed at how much work must go on behind the scenes to bring these movies to the big screen. My thanks and congratulations to all those involved with the Rise of Skywalker and this excellent companion book! Review: Great for any Star Wars fan - We bought this as a Xmas present and they loved it. Full of detail and description and beautifully illustrated too Great book

Liked the film or not - a great accompaniment
Definitely an essential accompaniment to the film if you're a Star Wars fan. Whether you liked the film or not it expands on and enlightens the reader on a lot of what The Rise Of Skywalker may have either rushed through or didn't elaborate on meaning certain things become clearer with regards the story. Great imagery too giving a much closer look at things maybe only glimpsed upon in the background in the film.

Buy it, enjoy it. But be aware that not all questions will be answered
As a long term Star Wars fan I have of course ordered this reference book as soon as it became available. How, as the designated galactic expert, would I otherwise be able to answer all these increasingly tough questions from my children and their friends / cousins? There is little better than giving them some background detail on their new favourite characters Babu Frik and D-O the droid. Or to explain a little bit more about the festival on the desert planet of Pasaana, the thieves quarters on Kijimi, or the seas of Kef Bir - one of the other moons of a well-known planet where a very familiar structure has crash landed. This 200 page hard cover book is a great read and a reliable companion in the vast and rich Star Wars galaxy. The previous DK reference books where not as sizeable in page count so this book represents good value for money. It’s filled with great, detailed pictures and images, and a copious amount of little facts. This already makes it worth the purchase. Furthermore our collection of DK Star Wars reference books is much cherished by all the family. My youngest son continues to pull them from the shelves, with care, to look up stuff and to immerse himself. The book fits in neatly with the rest of my collection of DK Star Wars picture books. It’s larger, taller in size again than the odd-sized Solo DK picture book. Somewhat unusual this book has quite a few pages (30) as an introduction on what happened so far in the sequel saga. This somewhat duplicated previous volumes though it does not seem to be straight copies of pages and material. However this introductionary addition is quite curious given that topics about key elements of the movie are missing. The fact that the book isn’t a complete guide probably has to do with a combination of issues. First of all, everyone who has seen the movie, might agree that ROS is overflowing with a wealth of new characters, spaceships and locations – more so than the other movies probably. So it would have been hard to capture everything. Secondly, it is well known that parts of the movie were only completed at a late stage, too late probably to be included in the book. So the book lacks information on new types of Tie fighters/ interceptors, cross sections, new star destroyers. Ect. Most importantly, there is nothing on the main antagonist. I was quite curious on his whereabouts, his current appearance, how he has passed the time ect. And a further explanation on his circumstances and his many followers would have been welcome, in particular as on this subject I have quite some recurring debate with my gang of junior fans. That's why I rate the book with 4 stars only. To conclude - what are my 'colours'? - I should say that I’m not the greatest fan of the Rise of Skywalker movie. But my 6-year old, who was loudly cheering, standing on the cinema’s seats a few days ago, has a very different opinion. So as an wrinkly day-one fan my opinion on Star Wars is biased and twisted. For example I would rank the much-hated Phantom Menace among my top 3 films in the series so far - just to point out that you should disregard the opinion of so called hard core fans. Star Wars is like politics or football; everyone thinks he/she is right and has an opinion.

Fantastic book
Fantastic book as always, even better as it contains both the Visual Dictionary elements and the cross sections that are usually spun out into a separate book. Great value and a great book

Mini vault of film knowledge
The comprehensive film book. Characters and items from the movie I never would have known otherwise. Lots of pages with nice and clear photos. Love it!

Part of the Collection
I have one of these books for all the new movies and find them detailed enough for fans who want to know a little more about the movies, vehicles and characters.

Je ne comprend pas pourquoi ce volume a un format plus petit et épais que les deux précedents, pas top dans une bibliothèque. Très complet en tout cas.

Very good book it is fun and entertaining to read ,with lots of insight on the rise of sky walker film and lore . The images are amazing and the cross sections are excellent, no emperor palpatine, though and the book is smaller than other Dk visual dictionary’s but overall it is worth it.
