I've noticed that cast iron woks tend to be quite shallow when compared to those made of carbon steel. How tall is this one?

Base to rim about 4 1/2 inches.

What coating is used on this product?

None, coated with an oil for shipping wash once and only once, with soap and water. Now, then coat as normal cast iron would be coated, oil heat, oil salt heat, oven is best for this process. Always wash hot water only at this point. Keep dry always. I oil after every use.

Would this fit on a solo stove?

while it isn't made for the cooking attachment for the solo, it would depend on the diameter of the opening on hub attachment you have for the solo stove. The wok is 14" diameter at the widest..

I did as you suggested and compared it to the lodge 14" wok. yours weighs about 1 1/2 pounds less. so the iron is thinner than the lodge?

Maybe, not sure about the weights. For me it performs as expected. My coating is devopling fine, like my other cast iron.
