Great Value
Good tool was able to repair my Mercedes Benz AC with this gauge set. As well as install my mini split ac.

Good for the money. A couple minor shortcomings.
The manifold worked fine out of the box. No apparent leaks, but the can tap didn't work on standard self-sealing 134a cans, so I had to go buy a tap at the local auto parts store. That took one of the adapter fittings in the kit, so no drama there. Aside from that, the only real shortcoming is the lack of a purge capability on the yellow utility hose. Without a t-fitting with an exposed schrader valve, there's no ability to purge the feed line before introducing refrigerant, so a little air will get into the system. Also, due to the fittings on the end of the utility line, introducing things like dye into the system are messy. I pulled the entire line off and poured it into the manifold side of the line. That way, it doesn't all run out around the fitting neck. Minor grievences overall, but a purge fitting would be nice. You get what you pay for and they do the job.

NO gaskets in yellow tube
Product arrived well packaged. HOWEVER, the yellow line had no gaskets on either end and when I went to add coolant, it was leaking coolant at both ends! NOT HAPPY EDIT: Seller responded to my issue and sent a new set to me quickly, took about 5 days to arrive. New set had the gaskets and it has worked great! Kudos to the seller for taking care of a product issue that made the original set worthless.

Worked as Advertized
This gauge is probably a bit lower quality than some of the professional versions you can purchase, but for a one-time use for me, it was perfect and allowed me to top off my own AC Unit.

Garbage
The entire unit is cheap junk. You get what you paid for. Can tap does not tap R134a cans with any regularity. After a couple uses, it won't tap any. The tap valve leaks and won't close completely when in the closed position. The low pressure side valve does not seat and tap properly. It can't open up the schrader valves with any regularity. All of the connectors to the valves and body loosen up and leak unless they are constantly monitored and tightened. I cannot believe how junky this set is. How have so many people used this POS effectively that they rate it with multiple stars? If QC is this low, it's not worth the lottery of getting a bad unit.

Got the job done
I bought a motorhome and the AC didn't work...blew hot air and the compressor wouldn't kick on. I already had a vacuum pump from a wood stabilizing kit I bought, so I figured an inexpensive gauge set would at least help me do some initial troubleshooting. This did the job, and even let me complete the repair, but not without some frustration. For the vacuum test portion of the project, it worked flawlessly. But when it came time to load the refrigerant, I had two issues. One, it doesn't have a bleed valve, which is needed to purge the air from the yellow line so that you are loading just refrigerant into the system. I worked around this by partially unscrewing the yellow line where it connects to the gauge, but it didn't work very well. The other frustration was that the connections kept loosening. My understanding is that they are only supposed to be hand-tightened, as they use a gasket to establish the seal, and I do have good hand strength. Usually I have to be careful not to over-tighten things. But when loading the refrigerant you have to tip the bottle, and it seemed like any movement of the bottle would either cause the connection at the bottle to loosen or would convey movement through the line and loosen the connection at the gauge end. At the end of the day, I got the refrigerant loaded and the AC works fine, but it wasn't without some difficulty. Probably just a case of getting what you pay for.
