Great cherries and an excellent value however it does not come with a lid. After opening and refilling my small Amarena jar I transferred to a very large mason jar. I believe it was 6 qts. So I recommend having a plan for storing the cherries once opened. Excellent cherry to syrup ratio and the taste is wonderful. Terrific value!

These exquisite cherries have proven to be a very important part of what we think is the perfect Manhattan! A little of the juice and 2 or 3 of the cherries in a Manhattan made with Rye, Makers Mark and sweet vermouth is the best you'll ever taste! The cherries really seal the deal! Great for many other uses as well. Expensive but worth it!

I usually use Luxardo cherries but based on the ratings decided to give these a try. They are fantastic. Luxardo cherries are also delicious and this does not detract from that. They are in the same category, but have a slightly different flavor and texture, the Luxardo being in syrup that feels a little heavier and sweeter, these being in syrup that is not quite as heavy but with the same intensity of flavor and color, with cherries that are plenty sweet but with a little tang under it, which I love. When compared by the other critics in the family, there are those who slightly favor these and those who slightly favor the Luxardo, but not by much in either case and certainly we all would happily use either. Given the price, and the fact that since I am buying and I like the fruity tang, these win out for me.

Really the item is a 5 star based on a prior purchase but don't buy if amazon is fulfilling the order. They don't package the can properly and by the time you get it you're lucky the dents in it didn't force a spillage. They cleverly make sure the item is not refundable or returnable.

Use it for anything cherry pie. Put it in your ice cream. Put it on cheesecake, very good product. Put it in smoothies.

Easily the best Amarena cherries available. We use them is drinks, on desserts, for everything that could call for a cherry in syrup.
