Do the bags have any plastic in them? Are they made with plastic or is it pure paper?

They are paper bags with fabric drawstrings. No plastic other than the bag they all come in.

Can these be used for kava tea or kratom tea?

I do not use them for those but I have used them for all other types of tea and even filled with herbs in a soup and they work very well.

Can these be used for Ayurvedic powders or will they seep through?

I grind some of my homemade fruit teas into powders, and they work great!
