Still TEAC
I had worked with a lot of high end TEAC equipment in the 70's, but not since. I bought this CD player in the hopes that the quality that I had gotten used to in the 70's was still in effect. I wasn't disappointed. This is a solidly build unit. Sound quality is great. Delighted to have the name "TEAC" in my house again.

Left channel gave out after roughly 11 months of use.
Product seemed to work fine for about 11 months. Then the left channel stopped working (yes, I am sure that it was this . . . checked the wires, speakers, receiver, everything else)--so, this is a superficially appealing product that simply did not hold up with normal use.

Dead on arrival
I opened the box. I plugged it in. I put on a CD. The screen said “scanning CD”, then said “no disc”. I tried 5 CD’s. It wouldn’t read any of them. Right out of the box and it didn’t work. I’m returning it tomorrow.

Very Good Product
Although this was a renewed unit, I have had no issues with the performance. It works perfectly. Like previous reviews, the remote does not have an eject function, hence the 4 stars for that minor irritant.

DOA waste of money.
Arrived broken. Never worked out of the box. Return tag never arrived, so I'm stuck with an absurdly expensive paper weight. Waste of both time and money.
