I use this for making Dreamcatchers. It works great and I love the color because it maintains an authentic appearing aesthetic without the fuss of using actual sinew. It is very easy to work with and the results are beautiful. I am a beginner and this is the first thread I tried. It also works well for various other projects suck as mobile making, beading and jewelry making. It is waxed but there is not so much wax that when you tie it in a knot you have wax residue left over. If you required more wax I would imagine that adding some would be very simple with this cord. Personally, I would much prefer having to add than try to remove wax before I used a product. Other reviewers have mentioned that it breaks but the order that I received is very strong so it appears that they have improved the quality since that feedback. It is also a very good value for the price. Compared to other similar products at similar price points, you get much more for the money.

I bought this cotton cord for bracelet making, but it ended up being thicker than I expected. The quality is great — it feels sturdy and well-made — but it just didn’t work for the kind of jewelry I had in mind. It might be perfect for other crafts or macramé projects, but if you're planning to use it for delicate or beaded bracelets, just double-check the width before you order.

I have searched and searched for a waxed product that will be able to use with my beads and I am pleasantly pleased this worked. It holds well, great color and fits.

I purchased this cord in practically every color available. I was looking for good-quality waxed cord for my bracelets. THe thread feels good and is easy to work with. However, there are several problems with this cord. The first cord I used was the 1mm black. I was stringing 10mm beads and it seemed to work well. Then it came to finishing the bracelet. To my surprise, the ends wouldn't burn/melt or anything similar. They just frayed into a lot of little strings. I was very disappointed. I tied the ends and used another waxed Polyester cord to melt the closure. The next cord I used was the .5mm black with 8mm beads. I double the cord so I can knot in between beads. The beads went through the cord, but all the "wax" and some of the color came off during the beading process. The thread looked like it was years old and ready to fray and break by the time I tied the last bead. The next cord color I received was the "Indigo". It's not anywhere close to Indigo, it's a light violet. I just knew that had to be a mistake, so I ordered another one; same light violet. I can use the cord with heavier beads with larger openings and modify the way I secure the ends, but I would not recommend this cord if you're looking for a waxed cord that melts. If you use beads with smaller holes, this thread iw likely to lose it's color and fray during strings.

I have neck issues that prevent me from wearing anything with too much weight around my neck. .. so I've transitioned to mostly small charms, but even those can hurt me after 25 minutes or so. My solution? I use this cord to make a three strand braid that is long enough to loop around my bra strap and hang over my neck and shoulders- that way the weight is supported on my bra/shoulders and not the back of my neck where my issues are. I've used this cord and their blue shades for this for a few years now- and the only time I ever feel the need to switch out or refresh them is if I'm tired of a particular color or I've worn it so long that the color has started to get dingy. I'm not saying they bleed- because they don't. I shower, work, and sweat in them in a daily basis and they hold up, it's just the oils from my skin can color the lighter shades after 6 months or so. But for daily wear and tear and pretty much living in this cord? It holds up. It doesn't fray or break. It's easy to work with. It's lightweight. It's comfortable against the skin. One roll of it lasts FOREVER too. I've got zero complaints about this product and have been a repeat buyer many times.
