Custom Accessories 16009 Charcoal Billet Door Lock Knob

Apparently there are at least two different thread sizes for screw-on lock knobs. One size must be considered the Standard because all options at retail auto part stores are same size and slightly too big for my vehicle application. I had to resort to using these standard sized ones and experimenting with tape, silicone and other ideas on the threaded rod of my vehicle to make the knob functional. This hack only works a few times if at all. I ordered these because they are metal with the intention of using a dry wall anchor to bridge the gap between the threaded male rod on my vehicle and the larger female threads of the knob. Man was I thrilled when these screw firmly onto my vehicle with no alteration! They look great, work great [ problem solved. I only post this review to say if your application uses the standard (larger) threads you might end up with the exact opposite problem I had with these being too small. So do your homework. If these are a fit - you can't beat them!

Four stars for form and look. These door lock knobs look and feel great. And they're a great price BUT, they don't fit. They will not screw on. It's as though they are incorrectly threaded for my 1987 GMC R1500. It's disappointing because I like the look of them.

Very tight fit. Driver's side is OK but passenger side is to tight. Mics show a difference in diameter so might be a Qc issue. Making them work.

Multiple problems with something so simple. How is this even possible? For starters, the interior threads on one piece were totally messed up. I tried a tap, but that only made it worse. The second piece was to large for my Ford F-250; it would not fit into the hole. And it was hard to twist it on at all. So those threads were messed up too. Not as bad as the first piece, but still bad. Wow. So I placed them where they belong, in the dumspter, then went to an auto parts store and bought two nice ones that worked fine for half the price. Wow. Total garbage.

Screwed right on just fine. Ended up taking the door panel off, but you could possibly get away with leaving it on. Do note you probably won’t be able to stick it up through the bottom. It has to go in from the top

Perfect for my grand cherokee limited only thing 1 was stripped but a little bit of silicone holds it in place

Look great, easy install

Like most of the other reviews. They do not fit just completely manufactured wrong. Look nice but useless . Not threaded deep enough way too long. Even after threading my self were sticking up way to high. waist of money for me.
