Exactly what I needed
Came on time, it's a perfect fit and was easy to install.

Perfect replacement for a stripped gear box
Easy repair for a tractor sprinkler that won't move. The worm gear wears out on the rotating sprinkler head and this is the only fix. It will fit other brands than Orbit but not all. This mounts with 5 bolts, 2 at each axle stub and one in front. New wheels are already mounted and ready to go.

The Good and the Bad
First the Good. I have been using a tractor sprinkler for about 15 years. They work very well for watering a residential lot. If you place them on a timer and watch them closely, they can last 5-10 years or more. The replacement motor assembly is easy to replace. Now the Bad. If the tractor turns over or gets into a bind and cannot move, the worm gear inside the motor assembly will strip and the tractor will not move. This is a very simple part, but I have not been able to find a replacement. if your water pressure is to high, the hose connection on the back of the motor will sometimes blow out. When you set you hose, keep the bends very wide, or the tractor will jump the hose or turn over.

Works great
I took a chance and ordered this green Orbit motor assembly for my yellow Nelson sprinkler. I did that because for a few extra $$ you get brand new wheels. It fit perfect and works perfect. That being said, the price between this repair and a brand new Orbit tractor isn't much. Considering repairing a 2nd sprinker....but I might just buy new and use the old one as a yard decoration.

my orbit sprinkler stopped working i could hear the gears grinding …. popped this in an it started moving again …. just like new
