works great as a fireplace screen.
We use this for our fireplace. Leave the door open and put this in front of it and it keeps sparks from jumping out and hitting the rug while allowing the fireplace to heat the room very well. Also it doesn't get hot. Even after leaving it there all night you can still touch it with bare hands and it's only mildly warm.

Solid and strong but the deeper twists in the strands allow fruit flies through.

My heavy duty wire cutters can barely cut it, much stronger than expected.

Stainless Steel wire mesh.
The wire mech is tough even a mouse will not chew through it. You need metal shears to cut it. I got it to keep spiters and mud dobbers from plugging up my camper hot water heater tube. It works for me.

Good mesh screen but bad way to package it
This mesh screen is exactly what I wanted as far as sturdiness and thickness. However, it is packaged as a roll that is tightly wrapped. My application required a flat mesh screen, and no matter what I did, I could not flatten the roll well. I ended up with dents in some places in my effort to flatten the screen and overall a curvy mesh screen. I really wish it would come in a flat packaging. That is the reason I took off 2 stars from my rating.
