Do these needles have a flat back or are they rounded where they fit into the screw, I have a Singer 533 and the needles I need have one side flat.

Would I be able to use any of these needles for thick corduroy, and if so how would I know which one to use?

You will need to use number 14 needle as it’s for denim and will also sew cords,if it doesn’t feed through the machine evenly try using a walking foot attachment
