Does what it’s supposed to do!
Great filtration system for your tab water. I have been using this product for the past 8 to 10 years and my wife and children love it. While the filters can be a little expensive, they do provide very great filtration and produce very good tasting water. I know most people will always say that water is flavorless but let me tell you out here in West Texas where there is very hard water you can tell the difference between a filtered water vs a non-filtered water, it removes that dirt like taste. It is pretty compatible with most faucets and it comes with all the necessary accessories to install very easily. The design and operability are ok, nothing to write about, but it works and works well. They are very durable, but in my case and given that there is hard water here they begin to form lime deposits and so I replace them every 20 to 24 months.

Wow. So easy to install. Wow
I'm really impressed with how easy this was to install. It took a minute to have it up and running. The included converters is needed, I tried the metal one first, it screwed on my faucet right away, for a tight seal, then with that connected, the filter snapped right onto it, clicked into place, and done!!! That's it. It's connected. Really took me less than a minute total. And my sink is a very old sink so I was a little worried if it will fit, but it fits perfectly. My sink is very strong flow when opened all the way, so i opened it to max to check for leaks in the connection, not a drop leaked. So I popped in the included filter cartridge, screwed on the cover. And tested it, the flow is of course a lot slower, but that's expected. So I let it run for a few minutes as per the instructions (it says to flush it for 5 minutes) and it's working perfectly now. I switched back and forth from the regular sink flow to the filtered flow, the light blinks green every time, zero leaks, zero issues. I only just received it right now (like minutes ago), so time will tell how it holds up, but I was so impressed with the how easy it was to setup, that I thought I'd share that. Because to be honest, this was my only worry before buying this, I was hoping it will install correctly, which it did, and it was easier and faster than I thought it would be A few weeks later edit; Ok so I was so loving my Filtered water, that I convinced my neighbor, a older man, that drags a few gallons a week from the store, to just get this Faucet filter instead. But I know he'd be stubborn... So I just filed him a clean full plastic cup of fresh cold water from my filter. And asked him to taste it. He drinks down the whole cup and says hmm that's good water, zero after taste, zero chlorine taste, just clean tasting. I then told him it's from my Faucet filter, and told him look, with the money you buy all those gallons for, this will pay for itself in no time, and you won't have to shlep it from the store. He was sold, so I ordered him one from Amazon, same as mine. His sink Faucet is very different type than mine, but installation was exactly the same, and exactly as simple and fast. I had it up and running for him in 2 minutes. And he's loving it. So that's 2 very different type sinks, both very old. But both installed in seconds. And now that I've been using mine for a few weeks now, I gotta say I never knew I could love water as much as I suddenly do. It tastes so clean and amazingly fresh. I'd put it up vs any bought water from the store.

Easy to work with.
Easy to put together, put on faucet & use. Great faucet adaptors that can be set up to click on & off the faucet! Works well. Outer shell seems solidly made, of heavy molded plastic, that should last for a long time. Doesn't leak if set up properly (put the washers in as instructed & tighten carefully) Nice to have the majority of the system above the faucet, to give better sink access. Price is better in the long run (& much more convenient ) than a pitcher & filters.

😔 Nice filter, but when the battery dies, you’ll be buying over and over again
Update 3/24/26 I purchased this filter February 27th. Today is March 24th. The battery already started flashing red. This is nowhere near reasonable life and I may have to return it after I get a response from PUR. If you look at the filters for these, they claim 4 filters will last a year. One filter, supposedly, last 100 gallons OR 3 months. I am a single woman living alone. I don't know who in the world is using less than 100 gallons of water in THREE WHOLE MONTHS. Where are they getting these numbers? This filter didn't even last a full month. I admit that I drink and cook with filtered water but come on. I purchased this faucet mount because of the expense of the Zero water filters and the time it took to drip through. But the flavor was superior. Zero water filters remove solids unlike this filter which removes "some" and just improves taste. But again, cost is a large factor for me, so... I'll update when I get a response from PUR customer support. I am so discouraged at the short life span on these filters. ----- Where I live, the tap water isn’t tasty. We have very hard water on top of that, so I cannot live without a filter. For years I was using the zero water filters because they make the most significant difference in taste and water quality and they remove SOLIDS. This filter does not affect SOLIDS so if you use your TDS meter from your Zero water filter, you’re not going to see a difference and think it’s not working. Different filters are for different things. You need to know that. So I’m happy with this filter for what it does and it’s far less expensive than using the more advanced Zero water filter that strips water of solids. I just can’t afford to keep that up; I was going through filters like every 40 days or so and they’re not cheap. The only reason I’m not giving this five stars is because it is atrocious in today’s climate where all these companies are constantly pushing sustainability that a company would make an entire filter with a battery that cannot be replaced. In my lifetime if I only use this faucet filter, I will have to throw away dozens upon dozens over my lifespan. Not just the filters, the entire faucet device. That’s disgusting. It’s greed. They just want us to keep buying. It makes absolutely no sense. So if you’re looking for cleaner water, this will do. I cook with it and I drink it and I’m just fine with that. But if throwing away entire faucet devices just because the battery dies over and over again bothers you, this is not the filter for you. But if you’ve already purchased it and you’re happy with it, I implore you to go to their contact page and just send them a message about this. If enough people start speaking up, they may just provide a new model that allows us to not waste as much as we are. That’s a lot of plastic in landfills and it’s unnecessary.

It's miles above Brita, I could CRY comparing the two...
Don't buy the Brita faucet filter (the "Elite", ASIN: B000EOOQPW)! It's junk compared to the Pur and I can safely say this because I've used both. Brita faucet filters ride on their brand name household recognition for sales but that's about it. 💧 The water tastes better with Pur than Brita. 💧 The Pur is slightly larger and feels of a higher quality in construction, the plastic feels better to the touch. The gray color is much better and professional looking for a sink fixture than bright white because it matches the color of sinks and faucets, which are usually gray due to stainless steel or nickel finishes. Brita also makes a chrome looking one but that one looks even worse. The Brita feels cheap and flimsy, food stains and discoloration are also much more apparent on the bright white plastic of the Brita faucet filter. 💧 The Pur comes in a sturdy cardboard box sealed with tape, and everything is in plastic packaging or bubble wrap, the filter cartridge is sealed in plastic packaging, and you can tell it's new and untampered. The Brita faucet filter arrives in a thin-gauge cardboard box with no tape or seal of any kind, you could open it, mess with it and put it back in and nobody would know, the filter cartridge it comes with is completely unsealed inside the box, no plastic packaging, hilarious because the cartridges you buy for the Brita pitchers are all individually sealed in a white plastic package. 💧 The lever to switch to the filtered flow is extremely easy to activate because it rotates down like a lever, you could do it with one pinky with virtually no effort, even a cat could turn it on. The Brita filter uses a tab that you have to twist with your thumb and index finger, it requires two fingers and much more effort, if there's oil on it from cooking it becomes more difficult. This is important for people with poor hand dexterity such as the elderly or arthritic. I think about my grandmother in her 80s, and her hand dexterity is so poor that we have to open bottles for her, there's no way she could use the Brita. 💧 The aerator for the unfiltered flow is much better with the Pur because it's full speed, the Brita cuts the flow down significantly. 💧 The filtered flow is much better. Brita's filtered flow is like a laser beam: it's thin and with such high pressure that when it hits the floor of the sink it splashes out of the sink. Forget about putting anything even remotely close to the Brita, the splashback will be all over you. The Pur is a wider gentle flow, making it possible for you to put something right under the flow without splash damage (lol). 💧 The Pur installation is much simpler. With the Brita you have to screw/thread the faucet filter unit directly onto the faucet, with the Pur you screw/thread one of several included adaptors onto your faucet, this adaptor is not an aerator, it's a hollow ring, the faucet filter unit then clips onto the adaptor. Since the Pur faucet filter can clip on and off easily without having to unscrew/unthread anything, you can easily remove it to clean/wash it when it gets dirty. 💧 Because the Pur faucet filter clips on with an adaptor instead of threading directly onto the faucet, you can rotate the Pur if you want to move where the filtered flow is going to land or get it out of the way. You can't do this with the Brita because it's threaded directly on, if you try to rotate the Brita you'll either loosen it (which will start leaking) or you'll overtighten it (which will break it and start leaking). 💧 The Pur filter lifespan is calculated digitally through electronics inside the unit, the status is shown through an LED that's visible on the front/side of the faucet filter, this makes it easy to see when you're standing in front of the sink. The Brita uses a cheap mechanical gauge which shows a red piece of plastic through a peephole when it's time to replace the filter. This peephole is on the top of the faucet filter though, so you have to have your head directly over the Brita to look down through that peephole. If your sink is in a weird place or you're not tall enough this becomes an issue. The Brita gauge also doesn't work correctly, I had two of their faucet filters (the same model "elite"), one showed green but the filtered flow had completely stopped, the other showed red but the filtered flow was clear, go figure. 💧 The Pur faucet filters last longer than Brita and are cheaper.

Easy to install
Seems to work well. I don't expect it to be a lifelong product but for the price it's good.

Parts are of different sizes
I gave 1 star not because PUR Plus filters don't filter well in general, but to bring attention to the fact that the same parts can be of slightly different sizes which cause a lot of water to pour out of the filters, as much as it comes out of the faucet, which means water is not filtered properly. I had used the Basic PUR faucet filter for decades with no problem. The filtered water consistently came out in small stream and tasted clean. Then I started using the PUR PLUS HORIZONTAL faucet filter almost 2 years go. The initial filter that came with the filter system worked very well, but after that, the replacement filter cartridges caused a lot of water to come out of the filter, as much water that came out of the faucet itself, and it tasted like tap water. I thought the new filters were fake, and by the time I started to use them, they were already past the return window so I had to throw out the whole box of filter cartridges. After that I bought several boxes of filter cartridges directly from PUR company. The first box worked well. After that, I had the same problem with a lot of water coming out of the filter (no longer in small stream) and it tasted like tap water. I tried different filters from each box but they were the same. I researched online and changed the O-Ring but the problem persisted. I called PUR customer service and they said those filters from different boxes could not be all fake, but they were nice enough to send me new filter to try. That same day, I decided to buy a PUR PLUS VERTICAL faucet filter from Amazon website here, which arrived the same day. It had the same problem, too much water came out of the filter when I let it run. I was about to return it when I noticed that the small tubes in the filter system, the part where the O-Ring wraps around, were slightly different sizes in diameter. (The vertical filter system has a bigger tube). So I took my old filter cartridge and put in the new vertical filter system, and put in the Danco #7 O-Ring to make it tighter, and the problem was solved. The filtered water now comes out in smaller stream, regardless of how much water comes out of the faucet. So there are probably not that many fake PUR filter cartridges as I had thought, but the big volume of water that comes out of the filter is caused by the space between the tube and the round part of the cartridge that goes into this tube, and perhaps in addition to the size of the O-Ring, allowing unfiltered water to pour out, together with the filtered water. The bottom line is, these parts are of slightly different sizes, and only the same size PUR faucet filter cartridge would work with the same size PUR faucet filter system. Also, the switch to turn on the VERTICAL PUR PLUS faucet filter is too sensitive that it turns on when accidentally touched lightly, causing hot/warm water to go through the filter, which can damage the filter., so I have to use masking tape to keep it in place when not in use. The horizontal PUR PLUS faucet filter does not have this problem.

Buy it! It’s worth it!
We live in the country and our water comes out yellow without this thing. But this water purifier is a GAME CHANGER! The water quality is amazing there is no tint or taste to the water that’s purified. It comes with 3 different nozzles for whatever faucet you have and has 2 modes purified and not. I didn’t need to read instructions installing it it’s very straight forward. Durability is good ours has through quite a bit. There is NO LEAKING we have had no problems or issues with leaking.

Good value for the money.
Oh ok. Made in China Shenzhen city. Fingers cross no issues. Fixed it up as per instruction. I am using a Made In Italy faucet so it is pretty much generic. If your faucet is not made in the EU or US forget about finding the right ring for it. You can get the ring but can a challenging to find one. Showy or some taiwan made faucet can be a problem. Goodluck finding the correct part for it. Can buy but the battery thing no clue on how to change them. Oh incase if it flats out I will probably buy another same one. Not looking at having this thing last long like 1year or more so to me after 3filters change I need to swap for the batts.Might as well.buy another same one to replace.the whole unit.Than again cheap.and good for what it is.off course there are many brands and design to choose from but overall this one suits fine as what it is. Update now the 28Dec 2024. Now the device has shown a red led so I am guessing the water from the tank is quite dirty. Have calculated.at 370approximate liters should be giving an estimate of 10-12 bottles of 32 fluid oz (naglene) per day. Not that bad. Quite a money saver. The important point is at the very least it filters the gung from your water tank.Better to be safe.

Filter
Leider Fehlgriff !
