Absolutely essential cleaner that has earned a permanent spot under the sink.
I've been buying and using Bar Keepers Friend since the late 1980s, and nothing else touches stubborn stains on stainless steel, enamel, or cookware the way this does. Over the years it has rescued pots and pans that looked ruined, removed burnt-on residues, and kept sinks and fixtures looking new with very little effort. A little goes a long way, it rinses clean, and the results are consistently impressive decade after decade, which is why this is one of the few products I never let myself run out of.

Great but wear gloves!
Best cleaner. Comet or AJax doesn’t come close to Bar keepers’s friend. It really clean stove burners drip pans. Tub. Hard on hands so wear gloves.

WOW. That's about all I can say. It really does work.
WOW. That's about all I can say. It really does work. Came across BKF's products for the first time several weeks ago while browsing Amazon. Never heard of it before then. After reading a lot, and I mean a lot of reviews all basically claiming the same thing, that BKF cleaners are some type of "miracle" cleaners; I figured, ok, why not give it a try. I'm so glad I did. As soon as it arrived, I headed straight for the kitchen and grabbed my favorite large pot that I use for deep frying everything. It was a beautiful pot, maybe 15 years ago when I bought it. But for the past 10 years or so, the whole bottom and 90% of the sides of the pot were covered with extra thick, deep deep burnt in grease scorch marks that resisted all previous attempts at removal in the past. Trust me, I tried everything, short of a sandblaster or a grenade. I gave up, it beat me. I decided to live with the best deep frying pot i ever owned, and accept the fact that it looked like someone dipped it in the black lagoon, right after the creature left, then set it on fire. But wait, there's more. At the sink, I wet the outside of the pot, sprinkled some BKF cookware on it, took a step back and a deep breath, mentally preparing myself for an "elbow grease" workout from hell-o. Stepped forward, with my scotch brite stainless steel scrubbing pad in hand, and slowly began to rub a small area of the pot in a circular motion, truly expecting nothing to happen. I barely used any energy. After about a minute, I noticed that something was wrong. I saw that the area that I was rubbing started to turn blue. I was concerned, thinking maybe it's some bad type of chemical reaction. So, I decided to rinse the pot off quickly. And, yes, in the area I scrubbed was a blue circle in the middle of the pot that was scorched black with grease. And then it hit me, all of the sudden, I remembered, that this pot used to be blue when I bought it 15 years ago. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I had to double check. Took my gloves off, and rubbed the spot with my finger. Yes, it was my pot of old. Hello pot! It's been awhile. Wow! I was so happy. I grabbed a spare can of BKF, grabbed that pot, and went and showed my neighbor what just happened. She said, "wow!" She told me she was trying to find something for her pots scorch marks. So I gave her that can of BKF. I kid you not, within an hour (working on and off sporadically), with little or no elbow grease, the pot was 100% scorch mark free and looking brand spanking new. It was a "Royal Diamond" pot. I had forgotten that because i couldn't read the bottom of the pot for the past 10 _ 15 years. But I can now. Stock up on BKF. You'll see.

Best cleaner for stainless steel cookware (but not for non-stick).

Color me impressed!
Sadly, I didn't take before and after pictures. I had several pieces of enameled cast-iron that had baked-on residue marring their respective finishes. I tried using water-based Easy-Off oven cleaner to eat some of the residue deposits, with some improvement. I eventually hit on the idea of using BKF cookware cleanser, and I'm kind of amazed how well it worked in practice. I thought those stains were baked on forever, or I would have to dunk the cookware in some noxious toxin or something, but no, the BKF cookware cleanser cleaned them up rather easily. Some elbow grease was required, but nothing ridiculous. The only caveat was that I dulled the shiny enamel surface with this stuff. The abrasive component was a little more harsh than I would have liked, and if I want these cookware pieces to be shiny pretty again, I'm going to have to polish the enamel somehow. Still, dull enamel is better than enamel marred by baked on goo. I call this a win! I really didn't expect the product to come anywhere close to working as well as it actually did.

This was a gamble, would this finally be the product to save my favorite pot that was ruined when scale(?) built up when used to boil well water on stove for months to provide humidity. I had tried everything, including steel wool, a host of cleaners, even contacted the manufacturer seeking a replacement for this discontinued pot (as I said, my favorite!). Yes, it required a lot of elbow grease and repeated scrubbing with a damp sponge, and multiple applications, but finally the pot is now back to the shiny stainless steel it always was. To be clear, NOTHING had literally scratched the surface, or made a beyond marginal improvement, despite the countless hours and methods, and soaking I had done previously.. As soon as I started to scrub with this, I could see it was actually removing the build up, revealing the shiny surface below. No more chalky, crusty build up that grossed me out every time I needed to boil water for spaghetti or potato's. I have since discovered this is a godsend in removing those nasty dark spots/streaks on the outside of the non-stick frying pans, and cleaning the bottoms so they do not leave marks on the glass stove top (for which this is also fabulous for and does NOT scratch the surface). I even used it on my gigantic white tupperware bowl (that I like for family popcorn, but that someone had "borrowed" and forgotten outside forever) that had a mottled, grey black, almost mold/mildew type stains all over it, bam, even that came clean, without damaging the shiny, outer, plastic surface. My only beef is there is no way to CLOSE the tin, and it is definitely starting to clump within the container, it bugs me they have not solved this issue with some sort of lid or closure... but if you have a favorite anything that has a stubborn stain(s) that nothing else has worked on, this is worth trying. I have yet to find ANYTHING it does not work on and has damaged nothing.

Excellent cleaner for stainless steel kitchenware and basins, or even porcelain mugs that were coffee-stained. It was almost magical and we went on a cleaning spree, looking for surfaces around the house to clean. Now that doesn't happen every day with a household cleaner ...

Five stars simply isn’t enough!!! Bar Keepers Friend is hands down the best cleaning product I've ever used! I've tried countless cleaners over the years, but nothing compares to this one. It works wonders on everything from stainless steel to porcelain, leaving surfaces spotless and gleaming like new. What really sets Bar Keepers Friend apart is its ability to tackle tough stains and grime with ease. I had some stubborn stains on my cookware and bathroom fixtures that no other cleaner could remove—until I tried this. The results were amazing! The formula is powerful yet gentle enough not to scratch or damage surfaces, making it perfect for everyday use. Whether you're dealing with burnt-on food, hard water stains, or just need a reliable cleaner, Bar Keepers Friend is the product you can count on. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective, all-purpose cleaner. This is truly the best product, bar none!

According to reviews, it’s a great product. Haven’t used yet but I dropped a star because one of the cans was broken on receipt. We were wondering why the Box had white powdery stuff when opened. It left a dent in our experience, pun intended.

After reading the reviews, I decided to give this cleaning product a try, and wow—it’s absolutely amazing! It’s like magic in a bottle. My stainless steel pots and pans are now practically back to their original shine, even removing stubborn burnt-on grime and grease. It does take a bit of elbow grease, but the results are totally worth it. I’ve never seen another product work like this; it really stands out and has made a big difference in my kitchen. Highly recommend adding this to your cleaning arsenal!
