The disc had a scratch that made fade almost unplayable luckily only song affected though so it’s fine great album

What a great CD from Staind...the grunge,rock,metal group! I actually prefer this CD instead of Dysfunction. Probably because it is more passionate given his struggle with drugs & the recovery road he had to take after treatment. It proves that sometimes the greatest hardships produce the best "work" for artists. 1.Fade: I just love this song so much & of course all the band's musicians pour it on this track & sound just so great. 2.It's Been Awhile: My favorite track on the CD. Such a heartfelt song about his struggles & what it takes for an individual who has been at the bottom to pull themselves up again! A real life learning lesson. His vocal on this track is just so beautiful that it made me think sometimes some of these type of artists need to go to their "quiet" voice to connect & create a different dynamic vocally other than the loud heavy rock voices they use often especially in male bands of this type. The lyrics in this song will really touch you as the listener in his journey to recovery. I think this song can translate over to all people who have struggled with really anything in life where the road you took wasn't the one you had planned for yourself. Just an awesome song...& has made me a Staind fan...otherwise I might never have given them a chance & have now found other songs of their's that I just love as well. So to all the head banger musicians out there remember to also include something soft on some of your CD's as you will have a wider audience to sell to! Cheers! 3.Epiphany: I just adore the acoustical guitar work in this song...and this is another beautiful vocal performance as well as instrumental performance on part of the band. This is my 2nd favorite song on the CD and I love his juxtaposition using his soft voice coupled with his harder rock vocal. They blend so well together. The lyrics are so telling and are remarkable in the respect that I think their writing ability actually improved after his recovery from rehab. Just a great insightful perspective from someone who had the courage to look within for answers...that's the "hard" work! 4.Outside: This is another of my favorite songs on this CD. I love the guitar work on this track and again his vocals are just slamming. It is another song of self-discovery & reflection....something that comes from the willingness to let go & move forward in life. Just an amazing track! Now some of you might enjoy other works on this CD but these are my favorite tracks considering my own tastes in music! Enjoy kids....& rock on! Tunes Junkie
