This scale seems to be really accurate and looks great while it's at it. There are a couple of things I learned setting up mine that I hope will helps others. 1. If you have carpet in the area where you want to use your scale, I highly recommend you get a board the same size as the scale to set it on. Otherwise, the feet of the scale mush into the carpet and make it look like you weigh less (20 pounds less in my case) While this is great for a confidence boost, it will be heartbreaking when you weigh somewhere else later. 2. I had some trouble getting the bluetooth connected to my phone (and I think it was my fault) I went to bluetooth and paired with the scale before I downloaded the app or anything and then the app was having trouble seeing the scale. To fix this, I went to bluetooth and disconnected the scale and restarted my phone. Then we I went to the app, it was immediately able to connect with the scale. The app calculates more information than just your weight. You can see all the things in my photos and also, each of those items expands out and gives an explanation of what it is. I recommend this scale if you're serious about having a decent scale that tells you more than your weight and health.

When I bought the scale, everything worked fine, the app and the scale. Since 2021, the app has changed names and developers 3 times and now its under Hume. Apparently, Hume wants you to purchase their own version of "fitbit" experience but the app itself is hot garbage. It crashes 7 or more times just trying to open it to use the scale and 9 times out of 10, it won't register the scale for measurements without some sort of voodoo. If you are lucky and the moons are aligned properly to get into the app, finding where to open the scale is always different because of how many times its been changed. When you do find it, you will need to step on and off the scale a few times before it will actually accept your request to do the measuring. You CAN use the scale just as a scale without the app, which is what I end up doing because the app is awful, but if you get a smart scale - you want to use the bmi and other features as well right? Mind you, it hasn't worked right on two different phones. I've had this scale for 3 years and the app is so crappy that I'm just looking for another smart scale that will actually interface with my other health tracker because this will not sync with google health. Waste of money, time, and patience.

A few years back I lost 90lbs using a Fitbit smart scale and dieting well. I loved competing with my own stats. I eventually plateaued and gained about 40lbs back. I’ve been wanting to lose that weight again and wanted something to really give me some hard stats. This thing measures so much and you can see even the tiniest daily gains in protein, muscle, hydration, weight, fat contents. Wildly detailed and great at immersing you in the grind for gains. I’ve shared some of my current screen grabs so you can see what it’s measuring and how it looks. Not stats I’m proud of, but you can see progress made in the last two weeks has already started showing good improvement. The scale itself is small, which is great because I bring with me to my fiancé’s house so she can watch her own stats as well. It’s very lightweight. The scale itself doesn’t give you information, it just feeds right into the app. So the app itself has to be reviewed as part of this, since it’s essential. You download and sign up for free. It’s not the same app as the FitTrack watch uses, which is weird to me. I’ve had no issues with stability of the app or with the Bluetooth connection for the scale. You can see the app can track progress by day, week, month, and year and show you charts of the movement. Each individual stat is trackable with its own chart. Bottom line, the tech is mind blowing. If you want motivation look at the bad stats it can give you. It rated my metabolic age 7 years older than I am. I’m not going to stop pushing till it’s 7 years younger than my age. Amazing buy.

Horrifyingly accurate scales with all sorts of information you need to know but wish you didn’t. The warning voice I needed, to shock me into healthier habits. The app is easy to download and use.

Bought this way back in 2020 and scale continued to work great even when Hume Health took over the company but as of 8 November 2025, the Hume app has declared my scale "not supported" and is forcing me to buy their new Body Pod for $360! As a loyal customer, they are extending a 50% discount so that I would only need to pay $180. 🙄 Despite my DARA still looking great and working as expected, they have forced it into obsolescence! And trying to cash in by forcing us to buy their new overpriced product. Regardless of where you are in the world, this is illegal under consumer protection laws! I suggest all of you who are affected to write Hume and demand a full refund of your purchase at the very least, which is what I'm going to do.
