Excellent for the cost. We had a cement trash barrel and we got this as a cheap replacement. It looks clean and the plastic is durable. The size is great, we use it at a donuts shop off of a major road and it fills up once a day. The top secures great and that the only installation advice as it comes in two pieces. The only negative is you're going to have to put something at the bottom to hold it down because a still wind will 100% blow it away when it's empty. For the price though this is a very small thing.

Easy to throw away trash. Trash can is firm and sturdy, has some weight to it so it will not easily topple over. It comes in 2 pieces with easy removal of the top; just lift off. Adding a 38 gallon trash liner bag and then removing a full bag is fast and simple. I bought one at first because I wasn’t sure of how good the quality would be, but after receiving it and trying it out; I immediately ordered a second one. Good quality. Would recommend as replacement to old style plastic round trash can with lid.

I bought two of these for a store that I am opening. These are the perfect size for entry trash cans since they are slightly larger than a standard kitchen style trash can and can hold a good amount of trash so it's easy for any employee to empty it than an industrial size that is a pain to empty without needing another trash can to haul it to the dumpster. Highly recommend. The only downside is that it's made of lightweight plastic so it may require some weight in the bottom to avoid being blown over when it's empty. Good value for the money.

We purchased this as an outdoor trash receptacle for our downtown offices where we have a lot of homeless folks who create a good amount of trash. We wondered if we provided a place for them to dispose of their throwaways, they wouldn't just leave their junk on the sidewalk and in the gutters. Finding the right receptacle was a challenge, and this one has worked very well for us. First of all, we needed something that just couldn't be carried off by someone. However, practical logistics required the item not be too heavy (some outdoors trash bins are made of concrete and weight several hundred pounds), because we would have to maneuver the thing into place. What we did with the Safeco product was anchor it by putting two screw-stakes through the bottom (the same kind used to leash dogs in yards), then weighed the bin down with a 50-pound bag of sand. We drilled a hole for a padlock to hold the top of the bin in place, so no trash pickers could remove it to undo the purpose the receptacle was meant to serve. Then the thing was ready for business and we looked forward to see what would happen. There has been evidence that some have tried to wrestle the top off (who knows why?). But both the top has stayed secure and the receptacle itself has not been budged. And even better news: provide a place for people to put their trash, and they actually will use it! All in all, this had proven to be a great product.

I had asked before ordering if it took tall kitchen garbage bags. Folks said no...I ordered it anyway (thinking I'd just have to get different sized bags for it)... When it arrived today I went ahead and tried tall kitchen - and THEY DO FIT. To clarify, I wasn't as concerned about if the bag goes all the way to the bottom (I think it actually does that too, put I put a brick in there to weight it down anyway). My concern was it fitting around the top and securing... and a tall kitchen bag DOES fit VERY nicely and even snuggly around the top of this 15 gallon model! That makes it nearly perfect! Just FYI on other things I didn't get from other reviews or pictures regarding the 'ash tray': it is 2 pieces (upper and lower)... the bin part is recessed and is attached with screws to the easily removable 'top' plastic assembly - so to empty the bin you have to remove top of the can and dump it (nothing to it, just lifts up, and if you were going to empty into that garbage bag anyway...). And then the upper part you 'see' and use when looking at it fully assembled is attached over the bin part at the corners with Velcro tabs (very sturdily) and has a pyramid type shape to the inner section. So... the only part I am concerned about over time is when you lift the top part of the ash tray off of the bin part of the ash tray assembly (which has to be done to empty the bin), the little screws that hold the bin part look like they might rust if they ever got wet. And to wash the bin (in sink for instance) you'll have to take the whole top to the sink and deal with that bulkiness. Did not warrant reducing the stars for me (no biggie, just fyi). But would be nice if the bin part and top part of the 2-piece ash tray could both be removed from the lid. I suppose I could remove the screws and fasten the bin in a removable way... I'll go to the building we put it at and try to take pictures of what I am talking about (should have done that 2 hours ago before placement).

Bought a bunch of these to provide to other business owners on our block for outside their shops. Have had them outdoors for a year now (in Wisconsin) and they’ve held up great. Put a 50lb bag of sand in the bottom to keep them from getting knocked over. Just bought 7 more as everyone wants one now. They’re durable and affordable and they look great.

Very nice product. It is thin/narrow and leaves a small footprint. I was impressed with the quality. Fits perfectly outside our veterinary facility for doggie bags and cigarette buts. We drilled a small hole in the bottom to chain to a nearby pole to prevent theft. That is the only improvement I would make.
