We have had this exact Cuisinart 14-cup coffee maker for nearly 6 years. The heat plate will usually get a bit rusty after several years but this is a solid large capacity coffee maker that consistently make great coffee. After nearly 6 years the old unit began leaking a little. I though it was just a spill but ends up it was leaking. I purchased this same coffeemaker because it has been a good machine for our needs. I have read about people having issues with the lid but fortunately we are intelligent enough to actually put the lid on properly. It actually just snaps on - Easy-peesey! We have never had any issues with the carafe leaking or pouring badly. Our has always managed to pour as expected. I find this to be a good quality machine and enjoy that I can adjust strengths and cup sizes if I choose. UPDATE: After 2 days of making coffee I can say we''l be looking for a replacement carafe under warranty as this one has the issue of pouring badly that so many have complained about. For now - We are using the old carafe we have on hand.

Excellent coffee maker. Easy-to-use buttons. a lot of options to make a small pot, or increase strength. The brewed coffee tastes like coffee, not chemicals. Looks nice on the countertop. I like the glass carafe.

This coffee maker makes great coffee. It is hot! Stays hot with the proper setting. I didn't realize how bad my other coffee maker was until I started using this one. I followed another reviewer's advice - choose the bold AND 1-4 cup buttons regardless of the size of the brew. This slows the brew time and makes very good coffee!

I ordered this coffee maker after researching it as thoroughly as possible. Much to my disappointment, the initial batches of coffee tasted like plastic. I ran carafes of filtered water through the device several times, but the taste of plastic persisted. Then I used ChatGPT to see what information was available and sure enough, this is a common problem. It would have been nice if Cuisinart had addressed this issue in the manual. This is why I am giving a 3 star rating. My next step was to use coffee cleaner, followed by 2 more carafes of filtered water. I could still smell the plastic in the filter basket, so I washed it with a strong mixture of Dawn detergent. Then I ran another carafe of water through it. That finally seems to have gotten rid of the plastic taste in brewed coffee. The entire process probably used several gallons of filtered water and took several days to complete. Otherwise, this coffee maker is well designed and of good quality. The plastic components are thick, unlike the current Moccamaster plastic parts which are thin and flimsy by comparison. (The Moccamaster also has a tube attached to the carafe lid that’s unnecessary, cumbersome and hard to wash. Their old models have a separate tube which isn’t used for the same reason.) I desperately needed a replacement coffee maker and I’m glad I persisted in my efforts to get rid of the plastic taste instead of returning it. This makes good coffee as other reviews have stated. Just be prepared to get rid of the plastic taste. UPDATE As of February 7th, I need to revise my rating to 4 stars. Except for the problem with the plastic taste I explained above, this is a high-quality product that makes good coffee. I love the 1 - 4 cup feature which is what I use to make 24 ounces of coffee. If you drink coffee black and enjoy the flavor of good coffee, you will love this feature. This makes the best coffee I've ever tasted. That said, the initial plastic taste with no mention of it in the manual is a major problem that has to be overcome.

Amazon delivered it within a day of ordering. Previously for many years I had smaller size and Kurig coffee makers at home. A craft coffee shop barista once told me to get a coffee maker that maintains the right water temps while making coffee so all the right flavors are produced. My search ended with this amazing coffee maker. I brewed my first brew after initial setup and the coffee tasted exactly like the craft coffee shop I’m used to. This one is a keeper for sure. This is an investment so I cut doen on coffee shop spend of about $4/day x 30 = $120. So ROI in a month 😄 FYI- you cannot make a bold flavor coffee with 1-4 size mode. Some people have complained that there isn’t much room to pour water at the top. I moved mine to a top open space. So no issues. The beep sound is great to notify that the coffee ☕️ is ready. The hot base has 3 modes for keeping it hot. Couldn’t ask for more….

Love this machine. Makes a very fine cup of coffee ... It's a slower brew time than most but that's also why the coffee tastes so good. The different temp selections on the carafe plate warmer are really nice ... ...I've yet to taste a burnt cup. It's makes a LOT of coffee and the smaller brew options works great as well. You need to put in the amount of water for the size pot you're brewing ... The one to four cup button doesn't control the amount of water that gets brewed... It's not like some makers on the market where you can fill the reservoir and it'll stop itself at two cups. If you overfill it, there will be a waterfall out the back top ... Learned right away to check the reservoir before filling. Operator error I got the white one and the ease of cleaning this unit is great. You can fit your hand inside the carafe to clean it unlike taller thinner carafes I've had. It's a simple body so clean up is a breeze. Really glad I went with the Cuisinart. I've always used the bold/rich settings on other machines but this one is as good as those on the regular setting... Rich is the default here, depending on your beans. The bold setting is great for afternoon sweet coffee with creamer when you still want rich coffee flavor. There's a mesh filter or you can use a paper filter. The tiny looking scoop IS a TABLESPOON although it doesn't look like it is at all.

This is a US coffee maker, fitted with a US electrical outlet plug. Unfortunately this makes it fairly useless to a UK customer like me. Even after securing a step-down converter it won't start brewing. Nothing in the original ad, including the small print and technical details, suggests this is not a UK coffee maker. Basically all told £150 wasted due to the seller and Amazon being clueless about where they are selling electrical items.

Review update March 26 2020: As previously stated this coffee maker is a solid unit. Not a single complaint. Easy to operate, fill, poor....highly recommend!! Review update: Very happy with coffee maker. Not a single complaint. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews. Have only used a few times since being delivered a few days ago but have to say I’m very happy with the DCC-3200 in black stainless to match our kitchen. The front face is stainless with plastic stainless looking sides. Still a sharp looking machine thankfully bc it lives on the counter. Display is a crisp blue with a blue ring of light around the buttons when pressed. Low, medium or high setting for carafe. Only tried Medium so far which was still quite hot. Note-the carafe pours perfectly. I’m not sure why so many others have all these spilling issues while filling tank or cup. Not a single drop spilled period. Easy to fill large water tank. Again not difficult at all to fill considering all the other reviews that state it is. Using the supplied charcoal filter with metal basket. Very happy with unit so far. Will update review in time.
