Evolve - Xbox One

Easily the best game I have played this year...very deep system once you get the hang of it. Here are some tips. When your the monster...Run Run Run un til you at leat evolve to level 2...do not fight a group of hunters until then or you will lose every time. And if your a hunter...Perform your role! For example if your Support do not I repeat DO NOT go on your own and face the monster gun blazing you will die in a matter of seconds instead support your team, shield the people who are attacking the monster and use the air assault from a distance and the laser cutter when you have to get close. Medics need to stay back at all times and heal the people attacking. Assault needs to charge in and do the most damage and Trapper needs to set traps and track monster. Follow these roles and you will enjoy the game as it is not your typical first person shooter. Hope this helps.

Nerve racking game. Things can go very wrong very quickly for either side of the fight. If you are playing matchmaking, it can be a little screwy sometimes; If you play with random people the skill level ranges wildly from game to game, and if you play with your friends sometimes there can be connectivity issues.I do like how this game has a solo mode where you can home your skills. The base game comes with enough to enjoy the game and get the full flavor, but any expansions are 'terribly priced' for a recent graduate like me.Overall, I definitely recommend the game!

Pros:- The feeling of the hunt- Basically, as the monster you must sneak, feed and evolve for the best chance to survive. As the hunters you must work as a team to track the monster for the kill while watching out for the many other deadly plants and creatures of the planet.- 3 Monsters & 12 Hunters in 1 vs 4 matches, more to come with DLC- Level up abilities and perks- Maps are huge compared to most other multiplayer games- Graphics don't disappoint either- Its a battle between a Monster and Hunters, like your own boss battle.- Offline and Online play have the same menu. There are only two play modes really, skirmish and evacuation, but you can create custom matches as well. Two play modes doesn't sound like much yet its quite enjoyable, plus there's going to be more in DLC, possibly for free.Cons:- DLC micro transactions of cosmetic items- There are/were some minor glitches that don't occur often.- Haters, trolls and the gutless bringing down the game's rating- Not as fast paced as other shooters, one match can take a while- Load times can be longPro Cons or Con Pros:- People quit a lot during matches for whatever reason so you may end up only playing against AI during online multiplayer. The plus side is you get to keep playing even if the human players leave the match, the downside is its not as enjoyable when you realize you're playing against or with a team of AI.Conclusion:If you're looking for a new PvP experience, get it. Its pretty cool. It does have some downfalls but its a nice approach to the genre. Hopefully future iterations will build upon the good and reduce the bad.Happy Hunting!

I want to give Five stars to the video game and seller. People usually only rate the video game which made me a little skeptical on wether or not to buy it from GamestoGold. The game was brand new still with factory seal on it. I'd also like to note that it was on time. It was flawless. Evolve is best played with friends, but still satisfying with random players. A little a hard to adjust, but fun none the less. My favorite part are the roles. You literally have to be a team player. If anyone of the players aren't doing their job. You are going to lose every time. I take on the role as a medic and their were cases that we've lost, because I was falling behind and wasn't able to heal my team from a monsters attack.

People hate on the game because it offers a bunch of skin dlc.. and FREE MAPS... thats right.. they just put out 2 new maps already to play on free of charge and will continue to do so. If I don't get a skin where the monster has a chef hat and a spatula.. not really going to go for any of the skin packs.. just sayin.. enjoy the game, fighting as the monster though.. will take alot of practice vs AI.. get to where you can beat them every time.. because pvp.. its SO easy to lose as the monster.. the goliath anyway.. its so hard to get away if they have a good tracker that you might last 8 minutes.. anyway good luck out there!

Worth every, penny kids Are all excited playing this game. It even has a tutorial which the kids loved. It really is a good game.

Very entertaining game. I preordered it and I enjoy the style of the game and that there are thousands of different outcomes in the game. All of the modes are so fun and xp is plenty easy to earn and leveling isn't a problem. I would very much like to use an oculous rift with this Game. A lot of people have bad things to say about this game, but I love this and many other games. I've preordered every game to be released for years now. So far on Xbox One, no complaints or problems.

This game id give 2 or 3 stars, but I know no one looks at those reviews.So that's why it has only oneBefore I purchased this game I read ALL the reviews I could. I saw that people felt it was repetitive, and during a match online it was one sided due to how people buying upgrades while others chose not to. I bought this game and played it for two days. In those two days I learned that the game WAS repetitive. This game has a few game modes but even then, Evolved had a basic play style:Monster: eat wildlife while running from hunters to level up during a match, increasing your survival chance.Hunter: work as a team to hunt and kill the monster.I got the hang of the game quickly thanks to its tutorial, but playing it for a while you realize there isn't really a change in pace or strategy.The gameplay honestly consists of monster and hunters fighting face to face and that's it. Hunters pull the trigger until the monsters dead, and the monster runs away until it had leveled up enough to go back and attack the hunters.Look I REALLY wanted to like this game.I was hoping the bad reviews were just online trolls hating because they were bad at the game. Well, even if you're good at the game, it still feels like you're doig the same thing over and over each match.Rent it and try it out. But don't spend money for a copy. An if you're the kind of gamer who buys every videogame, at least wait a year until the price dies down.Im going to keep playing for a few more days to see if my opinion changes. If it does, I'll update this review.
