well done!
This is amp is much nicer than I anticipated. The sound quality is balanced but velvety, rich and full, with no detectable distortion or background noise at normal volumes. It was a notable improvement over the older Fisher 201 it replaced. Driving a pair of Advents, it sounds gorgeous. It has plenty of power for typical household use (the highest I ever need is around 25%). There are no Q.C. issues that I could find with my unit. On sound alone, I'd guess this was an expensive piece of equipment. Unless you stumble across a lucky find at a yard sale, I doubt you could get better sound for the price.

Amp fails early
Amp failed in less than six months of use.

This amp was miss-wired internally.
The polarity of the speaker outputs was reversed, and the channels are out of phase (if not connected backwards on one channel). Other than that it is OK. Poor quality control.

An ok buy for the money, for moderate listening in a small to medium room. Crapped out after a year or so.
This is an impressive little amp. I use it to power Micca MB42x bookshelves, and it has probably just the right amount of power for them. If I turn it up loud enough to make the speakers sound like they're working a little harder than they'd like, I'm also getting a little amp hiss. So, the whole system isn't going to rock a large room. However, it sounds good at a moderate volume in a small-to-medium room. The power cord has a tendency to want to come out if I move the amp around too much, which is a pain. The place where it plugs in is very close to all the speaker wires (it's a really tiny amp), so that complicates things. It's still a good buy for the money.Edit: After a year of use, it developed fuzzy noise in the 2000-8000Hz range. It's not a constant buzz, but just a sound added to notes in that range, that made them sound a little bit like someone playing a comb-and-wax-paper kazoo. I guess it did ok for the money.

I have this amp running a pair of Pioneer bookshelves ...
I have this amp running a pair of Pioneer bookshelves alongside a little 6-1/2" powered sub. It has no problem cleanly delivering all the power I need from it, and can really fill a room with sound. It also did some time powering my surround speakers in my home theater before my last amplifier upgrade, and provided clean, dynamic power in that application as well.

Big Sound, Small Price
Throw your old component system out and try this amp. It is loud, clear, and compact. It makes my iTouch sound like live symphony, and that's saying something. I use the amp with large floor speakers and the sound is very good indeed. Worth the price and then some.

outstanding...maybe the best mini-amp i have heard
wow..more powerful then the SA-50 SMSL and as warm and detailed as the SA-S3, muse is under-rated, especially this one...this chip has a 92% efficacy...astounding.why is that important you ask? Heat creates distortion. Less heat less distortion.more sonic sweetness, you hear the effortless power.more to come
