CAMOLAND Sun Hat with Removable Mesh Head Net Safari Hat Outdoor UV Protection

I ordered this thinking it was a hat with a built in mosquito net permanently attached. It’s not that. It is a separate hat and net. Although it is not what I thought it was, I am happier with this product than if it was what I thought. The hat has a wide foam brim and two layers of mesh inside, creating a small stand off distance between the outside layer and my head. The airflow makes me feel cooler and keeps the mosquitoes away from my bald head ! The net has elastic at both ends, adjustable at the bigger. It works great and the benefit is I can transfer it to any hat that I own. Hat and net are both much better quality than I expected for the price I paid. A well designed product.

This summer has been sooo extra buggy in SoCal, and these mosquito net hats are a MUST on buggy hikes. They keep 100% of the darn gnats/bugs from going up your nose/ears/eyes and allow you to enjoy nature in peace. Obviously not the most attractive thing to wear, but the hat itself without the net is actually quite cute! The black net does not obscure your vision at all, and you forget you're wearing it. Folds up easily and is easy to pack. I like that the netting is removable and can be pulled off and stuffed in a pocket when not in use. The only thing I would have added is an opening for my ponytail. Anyway, this is definitely worth the money. Someone actually offered me $50 during a long hike for this hat 😂 ...I said no.

Firstly, I must say I was intrigued by the model for this item - it felt like he was staring into my soul from each picture, compelling me to buy the hat. I needed two of these type of hats, one for myself and my husband. So I ordered one of this brand, and one other type that looked good, to compare. This one was by far a better quality for only a few dollars more. After trying on both to compare, the design of this hat with the mesh going "over" the brim, instead of built into the edge of the brim, was superior because it keeps the mesh from touching your face. The mesh of this hat was also easier to see through than the competitor's, even though they were both black. I'm returning the inferior hat and getting another one of these. The only downside is that I wish the hat part was a little deeper - I have a small noggin and yet it feels like it's sort of sitting "on" my head instead of more securely "around" it. I suppose that's why they add the drawstring, because it feels like it would definitely be needed if it's breezy. Overall, I'm pleased with it, and it's going to do the job, even if it's not the most fashionable addition to my wardrobe.

If you need to stay safe from mosquito bites, this product will really help. The ventilated hat and net are really well made and will keep the sun off and mosquitoes away. The net rolls up conveniently onto the brim when you don't need it. The assembly is easy to put on and take off, the hat and net are both adjustable for best fit, and it gives you plenty of room to move and breathe. And the net is made from tough material. I accidently snagged it on branches a few times and it didn't begin to tear.

The hat and net are well made, as described, and effective. I have a large head so the fit is a little snug for me but it works. Fits fine on my wife. We had a worse than usual mosquito season this year which prompted me to get this hat and net. When the netting isn't needed the hat works well alone as sun protection. I would guess the netting could be used on other hats as well since the inner radius is on an elastic band and expandable. There are netted air vents on the sides, the hat is lined where it fits against the head and has a netted lining inside. There are snaps on both sides so the brim can be snapped up on one or both sides. It seems to be well stitched. No complaints.

Love this hat/netting! I live in western Maryland where it's super humid and the mosquitoes are horrific here in summer. This unit does a nice job keeping all the bugs out of my face during summer, makes going outside during the day bearable. My wife and kids think I look ridiculous, but I don't care; I'm not sitting there swatting bugs off my face all the time. I like that the brim is stiff yet flexible. Stiff enough that it provides a good bit of shade and keeps the netting off your face, but soft enough you can fold the hat and stuff it into a bag if needed. I ended up cutting off the chin strap as the hat stays pretty snug even when riding motorized equipment like tractor or mower and it just got in the way. However, I wish there was a way to remove it or snap it out of the way so that it was there if I needed it (high speed boating, for example). But, so far, I haven't missed it.

One of my favorite purchases. The summers where I live are so riddled with bugs, and this summer it feels like year of the flies. I can’t stand the buzzing noises, and the constant anxiety of them flying into my hair. I used this for the first time time and I love the simplicity of this, with the removable netting I can just take the netting part on and off and use as a sun hat. The hat itself fits nicely and feels like great quality. I bought another brand where the netting comes out of the top with snaps as it’s attached and that one is a pain. I’m debating buying another in case I loose this one. I feel joy hearing the buzzing and knowing they can’t get into my hair or on my face. I got it in a beige and think the style is a cute hiking hat.

I am pleased with this hat with a bug net that fits over it. It is light weight and the mesh is black which allows you to see out as clearly as if you did not have one on. It does keep 90% of bugs from getting in to bite you - there are some bugs who will find a way in so be prepared.

El sombrero es muy delgado, lo cual puede ser muy bueno para guardarse al viajar, a mi me hubiera gustado un poco mas grueso pero igual funciona para evitar el sol. La malla es de buen tamaño, es muy delgada y por el color negro te permite ver bien a traves de ella
