I came back almost 7 years later to write a review. This has been my travel daypack for every trip I have taken in the last seven years. It’s the perfect size for walking around a busy city, taking the metro/train, or taking an easy hike somewhere. It weighs next to nothing, but is surprisingly durable. It holds more than expected. Simple and plain design doesn’t draw attention. It fits in museum lockers. Highly recommend. I will buy another if this ever fails, but it shows little signs of wear. Great bag.

I purchased this lightweight backpack for my teenage daughter to take on a music trip to Disney World. It folded up super small and took up very little room in her suitcase. When visiting the parks, she was able to stash her water bottle, sunscreen, and a lightweight jacket inside and wear the backpack comfortably all day. It would also be great to use if taking smaller kids on a trip to an amusement park or to the zoo. It's perfect for carrying snacks and an extra sweatshirt or jacket. It is water-resistant, so there's no need to worry about the items inside getting wet if it rains. The wide straps don't dig into your shoulder like those string bags tend to do, yet the bag itself is very lightweight. The different zipper pockets also make organization easy when using the pack.

I just returned from my 2nd two week trip with this backpack. I came online to order another one in a different size bcs I love this one so much and was shocked to see it was labeled “frequently returned item!” That spurred me to write a review! I do not think this backpack would substitute for someone looking for a traditional backpack. But it was PERFECT for my needs. It is extremely lightweight. It holds sooo much! It held a large purse, 2 tablets, 2 water bottles, snacks, and a large foam roller for my back. (I use it as my personal item when flying.) It has front pockets for easy access to passports, phone, etc. It folds down to nothing if u want to throw it in ur suitcase. I have carried it all day and it served its purpose but it is not ideal bcs the shoulder straps r thinly padded. I can’t do a regular backpack bcs they r too heavy and hurt my neck. This caused me no neck problems wearing it all day. Just shoulder discomfort. Despite overstuffing mine multiple times the material and zippers have held up perfectly. I’ve already ordered another one in a different size so I’ll have more options!

I am generally suspicious of cheaper products like this, but I did not want to spend the money on the better rated backpacks considering I only use this occasionally. I have to say I’m happy with this purchase. This backpack is comfortable, lightweight, balanced, and a good design. Other reviewers have said it is not waterproof but I don’t intend to be walking in the rain with it so that didn’t matter to me. The clamshell design makes for easy access to contents. it only has one smaller inside pocket but that’s all I need anyway. It is exactly what I needed for less than 20 bucks. The stitching is not that great , but if anything comes loose, it looks like it will be easy to mend.Update: I went for a walk and was caught in light rain for 20 minutes or so. Everything in my pack ended up wet. Not damp - WET! The description says this pack is water resistant but the product does not even qualify as resistant - it was porous. I expected the items in the pack to be damp but not soaked. I'm leaving the rating at 4 stars because I do like the design and packability, and the price is good. But this is the backpack equivalent of 'fast fashion' and I don't expect it to hold up, plus I will make sure to use it only on sunny days.

Have used on many trips. Perfect for carrying stuff you need for the day. Then fold up into small bundle.

Looks great! We've unfolded and re-folded the backpack -- very easy to do! The straps are adjustable, and the zippers on the pack glide smoothly. It is lightweight and comfortable to wear, and very versatile. It holds a lot -- sunscreen, sunglasses, a windbreaker, bug repellent -- all with lots of room to spare. We love that you can use it one day, then fold it up into its self-attached pocket, zip it shut, put it in your suitcase, and travel on to the next destination! Very convenient, and ready to unfold for the next day's adventures. Well thought out and designed. Love it.

This is an excellent light weight day bag. It's easy to pack into a suitcase or larger backpack until needed. Surprisingly, sturdy and comfortable.

100% had to leave a review how awesome this backpack worked for our family in Europe. Each member of our family was allowed to bring a carry on and a backpack for their luggage. But, we needed something for everyday use while we traveled to various sites, not a large carryon backpack. Enter this sweet little bag. It folded up nice and compact into our luggage and was extremely useful for day to day travel. It was very comfortable on my husband’s shoulders and could house a surprising amount of stuff! Sweatshirts, water bottles, snacks, first aid kit, you name it, we packed it in there. We went to several museums and tourist spots and none had a problem with the size of this bag. Also, one museum required (for security purposes) my husband to wear the backpack forward on the front side of his body, but he had no complaints that it was uncomfortable. The backpack held up incredibly well throughout our two weeks. It was perfect and can’t wait to use it again!

This bag is well made, stitching and zippers don't seem like they will fall apart without a decent amount of abuse. The dimensions stated on the listing are a bit optimistic though. If you NEED the stated size, it but be worth opting for the larger version instead. This is still big enough for my needs though, it just looks like I'm wearing a kids bag when I'm using it :)
