Not perfect! But definitely close enough, especially at this awesome price.
I selected this chair for its open mesh seat, simply because I'm tired of butt-sweats. 'Nuf said. All the other office chairs with this construction were more expensive, many having flaws I wanted to avoid, with the only good competition being around double the price of this chair. So I ordered it, with more than a little fear that this price was 'too good to be true" for a chair like this. My chair arrived yesterday, and I had it assembled and clean-up done in half an hour. It is exactly as described, though the description couldn't possible convey all the "little things" that become evident after sitting in it for a while. Not surprisingly, whatever that thing is behind the lower back has nothing to do with lumbar support: It is impossible for it to touch the fabric no matter how hard you lean into it. Which isn't at all a bad thing! The back of the chair is wonderfully curved, and has no need for additional lumbar support. My only complaint is I see no straightforward way to remove it: The chair would look better without it, and maybe it could be sold slightly cheaper as well. Speaking of wasted plastic, what's with that coat hanger on the back? It is part of the mount for the headrest, so it can't be left out during assembly. Could be an opportunity to save another buck. Then again, what if that's not what it is? Could it be push handles for Office Jousting? Will have to give that a try right after COVID ends. There are other minor nits to pick, such as the arm rests not being adjustable forward. But I knew that before I bought it, and I think I can live without that feature. I was also surprised to find the seat can't tilt, not even by adjusting the screws during assembly. But after sitting in it, I learned this tilt wasn't necessary: The seat mesh yields in just the right way to make that adjustment unnecessary, for me at least. Finally, there is just one real flaw that irks me: The back doesn't go completely vertical, which is important for me to be comfortable at a keyboard. I mean, who needs a chair that can recline that far back? Give me more vertical instead! Fortunately, I own a 3D printer can can design and print mounting wedges to fix this. May need to get longer bolts too, which is easy enough. But if you need a chair with a back that can go truly vertical, this chair may not be for you. However, the gas lifter is just right: The chair being replaced could never go quite high enough for me. This one does! The castors, while inexpensive, are wide enough to not dig deeply into carpet, another improvement over my old chair. The mesh material in the seat and back is everything I hoped it would be. Overall, this is a fantastic chair punching way above its price class, even allowing for the minor fix I'll be doing. To address the other minor issues mentioned above you'd have to spend at least an additional 50%, more likely double.

Comfortable and sturdy
Just what I needed! The mesh chair seat is comfortable. Set up was quick and easy. I like that it can lean back and also be locked into place. I got this chair to replace a chair I bought last month that had an uncomfortable seat cushion. This is great!

Much better than expected desk chair
Love the chair. It wasn't too hard to assemble. Good easy to understand directions. Comes with tools so you don't need anything else. The height is variable and I don't even use at the highest setting. Very sturdy

I don't think "high back" means what they think it means...
First I want to say that the Flexispot heavy duty standing desks we've bought have been amazing so far. And I have to say these chairs are similar to that...super durable, well designed, and not hard to put together at all. But I purchased the "high back" chair thinking they were made for taller people...I'm a touch over 6'3" and spend a lot of time at the computer. I was super excited to put these chairs together but was super disappointed when I first sat in them. At full extension the head/neck rest hits me square in the shoulder blades. So I have to remove the head/neck rest to use it. Pretty comfy without but I think they missed the mark on this one. Really too bad because the build quality and functionality is otherwise excellent.

Great comfort and price!
I caught this chair on sale. I was hunting for a chair that resembles office chairs I've used in the past. This mesh feels very strong, and gives a lot of support. The look is sleek and clean, it provides great long-sitting comfort. I bought some of those roller-blade style wheels and it rolls amazing with them. I loved this chair so much, I bought two more for family. All three have held up for a long time, and have grown with kids. The headrest is adjustable, which is a nice bonus for the little ones as they get taller. I highly recommend this for work-at-home, or even lounging in for a few hours after a long days work, while you're taking care of business.

the recline and ergoomics is top notch for midday naps :)
note: some assembly required! it takes a little elbow grease to get the parts jammed in and i spent some time on it but well worth the effort and it just means it is a sturdier and solidly built product that will hold up to force in the long run. i absolutely love this chair! it is incredibly comfortable and better than anything i've ever sat in (and i've sat in many many office chairs in my lifetime). it provides tons of support but doesn't hurt my boney buttocks or back. the only 2 small dings i'll give it are (1) i wish the base and wheels were metal for longer durability but i think the tradeoff is weight and (2) the mesh is very "drafty" so it let's air flow and doesn't keep my back warm... that being said, i think most people would interpret that more as a feature than a bug since like i said, i'm pretty skinny so i think most others would rather appreciate the cooling air flow of the mesh! the biggest selling point for me is the recline that i can lock in place... makes it very useful and perfect for midday naps :)

Update: Broken armrest within a year.
I don't get what people are complaining about with the instructions, it says the screws are in the headrest, and they were, in fact, in the headrest. Sure, assembly isn't as easy and putting two Legos together, but if you seriously had issues assembling this maybe you shouldn't be assembling furniture. The bolts DO NOT go into slots, but they pass THROUGH slots so you can adjust the depth of the bottom cushion slightly. Anyone with shorter legs should appreciate that. The only thing I found slightly wonky is that the headrest itself must remain inserted into it's bracket before you attach the bottom half hanger that clamps it to the chairback. If you try to slide it up and down before it's mounted it will push the locking tabs out of the tube, but if you're even basically mechanically inclined you can easily put them back in in seconds. As for the chair itself my biggest concern was the stability of the armrests as these pillar mount style ones are notorious for being wobbly. Thankfully, these ones aren't and I'm assuming it's due to the very stout mounting system that wraps under the bottom. There's a slight amount of movement due to the adjustable height but nowhere near enough that it's distracting. I've seen none better and many that were FAR worse. Height comes up well above where I would want it so I can only assume anyone complaining about the low armrests either don't know how to raise them or they're extraordinarily tall which neither is the chair's fault. (I will never understand why people that are very tall or overweight magically expect all seating to accommodate them.) The mesh is nice and cool and the adjustable lumbar makes it easy to put it exactly where you need it for your height. As someone that's always replaced the wheels on my office chairs even the wheels were of a higher quality than average so these just might stay. Considering high back mesh chairs have always started out at $200 this chair ended up being nicer than I hoped, let alone expected. It's brand new though so if I encounter any problems I'll update this review later. I know how difficult it can be to find a chair that's decent quality and comfortable. UPDATE: Ironic that I was concerned about the armrests, as after a year one of them snapped off right where the bolts go through it. They claim the armrests are tested and rated up to 170lbs, but there's no way the armrest ever saw more than 100lbs. Still waiting on Flexispot to respond if it will be warrantied or even let my buy a replacement as now the whopping 1yr warrantee is up. If a $180 chair can't last a measly year it doesn't matter if it's comfortable or not when I've had $80 chairs that didn't break so quickly. It's one thing if you don't like a product's design or comfort, but this is straight up bad quality and unforgiveable on a name brand chair. Even if they do replace the armrest how long til that one or the other one breaks off?
