Seiko ER6700 Concise Oxford Dictionary/Thesaurus/Encyclopedia

Wow! This dictionary/thesaurus/encyclopedia/spellchecker/crossword puzzle solver is amazing! It has a dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, spellchecker, solvers for many items, 10 great word games, a calculator, and an "Easy Learn" list where you can make your own list of words from the dictionary. This would come in handy when you don't want to carry around a huge dictionary, thesaurus, and encyclopedia. This can also help kids practice their spelling words (if their words are 4-12 letters long). Just search up all the words, add them to your "Easy Learn" list, and set the settings so that when you play a word game, you always get a word from your list (e.g. you play hangman and you get a word from your list). I bought this for my 10 year old son to use, and it's very handy. The Easy Learn list of words goes up to 500 words. The design is a bit odd though, and it doesn't fit into pockets as easily as other e-dictionaries. My son has to take about 20 seconds to put it into his pocket. Thanks!

When we ordered this, we didn’t realize it was coming from halfway around the world. It’s an excellent product, and my kids use it regularly for their homework. If you plan on getting this, I hope you plan ahead. It’ll take you at least a month to get it. Likely longer. Make sure you check the shipping time before ordering. That said we are happy with the product once received

This device is terrific. Reading is my favorite pastime. I have two of these devices. One is at my reading chair upstairs and one is at the reading chair on the ground floor. I use the dictionary function every single day. It also had an extensive encyclopedia. The keys are very easy to press down. It is easy to scroll through the data that is presented. It is compact, light and enhances every book and journal that I read.

I have been unable to stump this dictionary. It knows the word before I finish inputting all the letters. Foreign words, slang, any word - no problem. One smart cookie

Very disappointed, wanted something like Sharp which has bigger screen and gives more information in dictionary. Also easier to use. It tries to do too much and doesn't do anything as well.

This product is not as good as the Sharp PW-E550 that it replaced or at least for the functions that I use. The operational aspects are not as intuitive and nor the volume of words it contains matched the Sharp. It is seems to have a lot of other functions like a calculator, encyclopedia, games, etc. that I haven't explored fully so I can't really rate those functions. Mine was purchased outside of the US and it was pricier compared to the Sharp that it replaced.

This is one of the best electronic dictionaries I have found. I keep a dictionary at each of my reading areas, and when I could no longer find the Sharp PW-E550 available, I relied on the good reviews to get this one. It has not let me down. Many of the novels I read are British and this dictionary helps out with some of the uniquely British words, also. I do enjoy playing the Jumble and Hangman on occasion. I still prefer the Sharp's flip cover and larger screen, but of available options still on the market, I'd rate this the best..

Rating could be five stars but haven't used this long enough to determine durability. This Seiko Concise Oxford Dictionary, Thesaurus, Encyclopedia, functions all categories at high levels. It performs very well scholastically and is at a College or professional degree of information. The only negative feature of this purchase is the size of the User Manual that is so small you better have 20/10 vision to read it or a magnifying Glass. I would highly recommend this to students at all levels of education! Ron Villanova
