I recently purchased the AKG C414 microphone and I am extremely satisfied with this product. The sound quality is outstanding, capturing clear and detailed audio with impressive accuracy. This microphone is a top tier, world renowned microphone that is a household name in major recording studios that produce all genres of music for all purposes. This microphone has an incredible sonic signature, and you really can't go wrong with it. If you want a microphone that is going to get you amazing vocals in the 1000 dollar price range. You've found the right one. The XLS is also an incredible microphone, but this one adds a little bit more warmth to the vocals, it has a 20-20,000khz frequency response, 158db max spl, only 6 db of self generated noise and has been a legendary example of studio perfection since 1971. Get it.

I use this for vocals and guitar (electric and acoustic). This is a serious upgrade from the Sterling Audio ST55, which is a fantastic bargain at $200. This mic has amazing specs and an unbelievable choice of 9 input settings. Even the packaging, pop filter and shock mount are high class. I especially like the quarter turn you need to make to attach the mic into the shock mount. Quickly let's you make adjustments. Overall, this was my first expensive mic purchase and I couldn't be happier. Sound quality is top notch. There is a reason why this mic is a standard for recording studios.

Item was defective on arrival. Loud popping noises whenever touching the cable or mic. Needed to increase gain substantially to reach normal recording levels, but this would then be accompanied by a loud hiss. Tried different condenser mic with the same settings/cables/equipment, and that worked fine at much lower gain.

This Mic was pretty easy to use and understand right out of the box. It comes with a nifty little mic stand holster, a great but kinda short little pop filter and a foam sleeve all packed away in a sturdy briefcase. Tracked solo and group vocals that really shined and guitar that admittedly came out of the gate a bit tinny but that could be due to my placement and or the guitar itself. Nothing a little e.q. wont fix though. I think its a fantastic mic for the money!

Wonderful microphone--found the top end to be very clear. 4 stars only because a few of the patterns don't seem to respond as well as they should.

Amen. Money well spent. I'm not an audio expert but do know my way around the studio a bit, I sing, and I'm a former audio engineering student. I have to say, besides actually having talent, it all starts with a great quality mic. The clarity is AMAZING. I sound so great on this mic. High end studio quality without me having to pay a sudio hundredss$ per hour.

This product is simply excellent! I was not sure if I it was going to be worth it (price vs. quality) but as soon as I connected this mic and heard the results, it paid itself. One thing that is IMPORTANT to know. Do not use a cheap XLR (canon) cable because it will not work. :P thoght it was important to point out :P ... Another cool thing about this mic is the multi pickup pattern. This feature makes this microphone just the best. I use it with my Duet 2 Apogee USB audio device and it works just perfect! I COMPLETELY recommend this microphone, weather you are just a rookie or a pro. MUST HAVE mic! I also liked the hard case where it came in. Comes with a cool pop filter and adjustable mic. clamp. If you are willing to spend the money, do not doubt it, BUY IT!

Bought this mic to take my voice over work to a more pro level. Having used Rode NT1 & Rode K2, I was just blown away by the sound quality of this mic. If you have a decent preamp and/or audio interface, this mic can do wonders for you in both voiceover and vocals work. It has many in built patterns like cardioid, hypercardioid etc. for your choosing. It produces a nice flat sound which gives you a lot of room while editing in the digital w/s. You can use this for voiceover, vocals, instruments and anything and everything. I would highly recommend buying this product as an all-in-one microphone.

Todo sellado y en orden unicamente no me gusto como lo enviaron en una sola bolsa vino suelto el producto , no entiendo por que no lo pusieron en una caja como normalmente mandan otras cosas mas sencillas y economicas por ese motivo no viene tan protejido y por eso llego con unos pequeños golpes la maleta
